    Bloom-ing Idiot. Trade the heart and soul of the clubhouse, a team void of catcher other than Vazquez, who actually wants to be a Sox, then acquire has-beens and relics and cost cutters. That's why the Sox suck. They are a shittier team than last year by leaps and bounds. Story gets the money, Xander/Devers will get the shaft when the time comes. Wouldn't bring back Renfroe, wouldn't even attempt to sign Schwarber, gave away Beni, got ultimately an average outfielder for MVP Betts. But hey let's get back aging JBJR, and have Hosmer at first and Pham platoon in the outfield and let's rely on Plawecki to be the full-time catcher. This team flat out is terrible and will get worse rest of season. Starting pitching fell apart and too many minor leaguers occupying MLB positions.

    Sox went from worst staff to best staff almost overnight...Bloom GM of the Year, JD Comeback Player of the Year, Houck is a sensation, Renfroe, Kike, Arroyo turned into viable starters, Barnes/Eavoldi All-Stars, and can't say enough about the tag team of Devers-Bogie.

    Dalbec has to pick it up, but in his defense team is doing well, he is a pretty good defensive 1b, and you can develop him in the process...downside he becomes the Sox new JBJR

    no grade on Moreland, but even 4 days a week he's better than what Dalbec offered this season.

    I haven't been on here much..but I think Xander is AL MVP...his defense is flat out Gold Glove and his hitting is All-Star and he hits to all fields, and he hits for power, and he is a game-changer...Xander is just fantastic. JD has returned to become a monster hitter (got the video back). Vasquez is just a terrific hitter to all fields again and Verdugo is another guy who simply comes out every game with fire in his eyes and tries to win. This is a winning bunch. Pitchers have been mostly great. Richards has turned his season around and Barnes has been sick great in pen. Love the makeup of team and Cora back as well. Go Sox!

    Best Red Sox 2nd baseman offensively and defensively in their history (Doerr included). He could have had 3 WS titles if anyone else would have stepped up in the 2008 ALCS. Homers off Garza for a 1-0 lead in game 7. Loved the bravado with humor and his ability to make web gems in his sleep. He made so many dazzling stops and saved Sox pitchers countless times to end innings on a diving play. Forever loved the Colorado game, 5-for-5, 3 HR, 15 total bases and he hits the GW HR in a 13-11 win. Laser Show has gone dark. Sad.

    I would agree. There seemed to more outrage over DC because of New York's considerable success with Sparky in the pen (then Gossage supplanted him in the main role)...

    It was tough, but Lyle became a beast with Yanks and they already were upset about Ruth.

    You want to fire sell, that's fine. You want to dismantle a WS winner, that's fine. But if you are going to do it, go the distance. Half-assing it by keeping Xander, Devers, Beni, Vasquez, JD is silly. You get rid of everyone and stop pretending the Sox aren't PawSox. They are.

    Mitch Moreland was what was left of the Heart and Soul of the 2018 Red Sox. Eavoldi was too but the reality is that we have the PawSox 2021,2022,2023
