  1. And he actually turned out to be a good player to grab in late rounds of fantasy drafts…
  2. It is. I’m hoping if it’s all about continued resets, they at least occur after bad seasons…
  3. General consensus is the opposite. Sox decline. Paxton exercises…
  4. One can. I mean, without lying…
  5. But then they just look like everyone else. Does he need to type out a pod person shriek?
  6. I’m proud to be on any list with bosoxmal…
  7. He was one of us at that other site. You’ve been fooled!!
  8. You do realize that you’re one of the people he’s referring to, right? The joining date isn’t really the factor…
  9. I was talking about Montero, Fulmer and Treinen before that. I stopped mentioning Treinen as he had both an option and an injury…
  10. That works. A lot of people don’t know this, but they’re the same person. And if you think about it, I bet you’ve never seen them together…
  11. I may only be 5’7”, but I read at the 6’3” level…
  12. I believe the idea here isn’t to unclog the logjam but rather to find a way to get some starting pitching that isn’t already over 30 and adding for 8 figures annually…
  13. Presumably. I imagine Mayer would speak to every team…
  14. The 7 years part would make me very hesitant…
  15. If the Sox go big at shortstop, I could certainly see Jimmy Swanson as a candidate. I do wonder if that makes Mayer available for pitching…
  16. You certainly watched more Yankee games than me, but I’ve always liked IKF as a player…
  17. Big deal. How many of them thought Jeter was a good defender? If the Sox aren’t going big at SS, IKF is a terrific candidate…
  18. Getting IKF would not have been“wrong.” The Yankees wanted a one year stopgap to Peraza/Volpe. He did exactly that. Now it comes down to whether or not he has a future with NY. If the Yankees go with 2b - Peraza, SS - Volpe, 3b - Torres, do they need him? Especially with Lamahieu trying to fit in somewhere?
  19. He’s a good defensive SS. If the Sox are looking for a one year stopgap to Mayer, they could do a lot worse. And at the very least, it would stop him from absolutely thumping our pitching staff…
  20. So does this mean the Yankees are planning on non-tendering IKF?
  21. I don’t agree with this idea as a plan, but I do agree it likely will happen. And for the record, I am not jealous mvp put it out there and I definitely did NOT put a curse on his phone keyboard that will always auto correct “Houck” to be replaced by “Lady Gaga”….
  22. Jealousy? I think we already established I’m the more handsome poster…
  23. I don’t see the Yankees commuting $570mill to two shortstops, and blocking their top two prospects, while also counting on two of-injured corner outfielders with minimal playing time over the past two seasons…
  24. I don’t see the Yankees commuting $570mill to two shortstops, and blocking their top two prospects, while also counting on two of-injured corner outfielders with minimal playing time over the past two seasons…
  25. Look at the bright side. You can still be happy when they fire him…
