Not one person said that after 3 games. Not one.
And that pitching staff had Eovaldi, Perez, ERod, and Garrett Richards along with Pivetta. Are those 4 pitchers better than Sale, Kluber, Whitlock and Crawford?
Two years ago, the Sox got swept by the Orioles (for 3 of the Orioles’ 52 wins that year!!) and were outscored 18-5 in the series.
Despite all the white flags after that series, a lot of people did watch the Sox make it to the ALCS that year…
They can be but:
1. He can’t be optioned until the 90 days are completed and
2. Again, Song’s biggest flaw is his inactivity. Prolonging that will not help.
Also not sure if his 15 day rehab assignment for returning from the Military List is counted among those 90 days. It shouldn’t be, because it’s a rehab assignment. But I doubt the rules are specific enough to really know just yet…
Well, I’m wiling to listen on Kike’s D as mediocre based on what’s supporting it. But to just say “that’s my opinion” (which, to be fair, was NOT said by the original poster who postulated it) is obviously going to garner questions and counterpoints…
And to say his defense was “mediocre?”
Mediocre by definition means “ordinary or below average.” It’s a comparative description. So am I too assume anyone who finds Kike’s D as mediocre has found roughly 15 centerfielders who are better?
