  1. JoeBreidey. And that does give out credibility…
  2. Our GMs leave for other organizations. DD did have Mike Hazen in that role, but he never replaced Hazen once the latter went to Arizona..,
  3. Did my name come up? What did Sam say about me?
  4. If the new boss has a guy he likes better…
  5. Hopefully not. It doesn’t need to be one extreme or the other…
  6. Let Duran turn into another team’s pumpkin. If the Sox outfielders are so unreliable, why would anyone want to hoard them?
  7. Not sure. Who is a good comp for a 26yo 2.5-3fWAR right fielder?
  8. Options are irrelevant when dealing with 40 man roster spots
  9. Verdugo should be extended and Duran should be traded, more so because of the OF surplus and because his control is more valuable than Verdugo’s skills…
  10. If you think Duran is not good enough defensively for left field, it is entirely possible your expectations are not realistic…
  11. Really just the 40 man roster spot. But Refsnyder is not the top name that needs to go where all the Sox get back is a 40 man roster spot…
  12. I don’t mind leaving him in Worcester. Getting just one viable player for two months of Vazquez is more than worthwhile…
  13. He’s a role player with one legitimate baseball skill. He’s still under contract for next year and his limited skilllset doesn’t exactly scream trade bait…
  14. Sorry, moon, but this line is funny…
  15. If Refsnyder is your DH, you did some bad GMing…
  16. Valdez’ best position might be in Worcester…
  17. And sometimes yours are proof of a small number simply flinging poop;)
  18. He must be superhuman to do all that all by himself!!
  19. They bought some golf stuff. The kind of thing every sports managing and marketing business does…
  20. It’s better than advertised. And it was advertised quite well…
  21. Oh good. John Henry sent us a spokesman…
  22. Plenty of managers can win with the right players. Cora is fairly fungible sa manager…
  23. Well, disappointment is relative to expectations. What were his expectations with Bloom running the team? If Henry was fine with a long game to build the farm and make a competitive team like Houston has done, he might have expected years like this and figures then to be part of the process. That doesn’t make it easier on us, but it certainly explains a lot of Bloom isn’t fired..
  24. If Bloom is fired, I do think it will be before the postseason begins. But the biggest factor is whether or not Henry is actually disappointed in the job he’s doing so far…
  25. Senga was really just a wild card. I’m sure the Sox knew a lot more about him than me. Eflin reportedly really wanted to be back home in Florida. The Sox didn’t even get outbid; they got matched and Eflin apparently immediately accepted. Bringing back Eovaldi was the bigger opportunity that was missed, because he wasn’t using the Sox to set his value…
