  1. Looking at WOO, I do think maybe it’s time to get back on the Ryan Fernandez train. If nothing else, he’s likely to be a step or two up over Mauricio Llovera…
  2. And why a new location? It’s literally in the only decent part of Baltimore…
  3. Kutter has his MLB career high in IP and is only 9 IP short of his highest total since 2018. I think a bump to the pen for a reduced workload might not be a bad thing…
  4. Two out doubles?
  5. Counted right down to the thousandth of a person!!
  6. It’s Philadelphia. The Phillies could win the World Series while saving the whales and removing all the air pollution, and fans would still be booing them…
  7. Probably true. But don’t you think the fans enjoyed it?
  8. I think that statement applies to every team ever…
  9. By how much? He was always getting a $29mill AAV. At worst he gets two more years at $2-3 mill more and is in the David Price range. Or the Sox realize he is a risk and they let him test the market. Or are you arguing they got him at a discount? Because right now he has been getting about $1mill per IP. The argument about waiting to see if he got more expensive seems tough to support, given the health issues he has had…
  10. 84-78 isn’t that much over.500. Just like last years 78-84 wasn’t that much under it…
  11. Definitely a gamble. And certainly plenty of pitchers have been pulled after 6 or 7 no hit innings. But I do get leaving him out there to let the fans watch him finish it. It is for the fans who paid that night after all…
  12. Especially since they could have let him pitch at least part of 2019 to see if he was healthy…
  13. Sox are on a pace to go 84-78…
  14. Not extend Betts?
  15. Swihart’s Exorcism, then?
  16. No white flag here…
  17. Then why are so many complaining?
  18. His deadline moves are stupid. It’s like he’s trying to take a 5 year process to rebuild a farm and do it in two and a h h Alf years…
  19. Can Philly prospect Marcus Sang get in that game?
  20. Massarotti is spelled with two S’s, because he spews out twice as much s*** as any other sports personality…
  21. I add Price to that list. After 2019, the Sox still had roughly $300mill committed to those three, no cheap talent coming up, and their star players all approaching free agency…
  22. Any player who could handle MLB for minimum wage made it that much easier to retain the elite talent. This is not a difficult concept. Keeping Manny Margot might mean no money spent keeping a more expensive OF. Keeping Moncada might mean no need for Mitch Moreland. The number of minimum wage rookies who played at all during that period is surprisingly low. In his 4 years, only like 9 position players saw as many as 10 plate appearances. And that number includes the aging non-prospect Bryce Brentz types…
  23. Lol whoops I meant 1904 through 1911. In my defense, I was a lot younger then…
  24. Oh I’m going there! Do you realize if the Sox do NOT win a Workd Series this year, this team will tie for the third longest title drought in the 122 year franchise history? This drought would be 5 seasons and counting, tying them with the drought from 2008 though 2012. Just 3 more years like this and they’ll tie the drought from 2004 through 2011. And then that just leaves that one singular bigger drought. We’re approaching historic bad streaks here!!
  25. And their kids!! These guys can’t even spawn decent ball players!! Most of them look like Little Leaguers! Especially the 10-12 year olds!!
