  1. As long as he doesn’t hit them off Weissert or Fitts…
  2. He’s used two…
  3. Very possible. But I was in the minority that wanted him to stay…
  4. Weissert was born in February, 1995. He’s already had his 28th birthday. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/w/weissgr01.shtml
  5. Fitts is probably ready to make his MLB debut this season, but really needs a third pitch. Weissert made his 2 years ago, and was probably only included to open up the 40 man roster spot…
  6. Fitts was their #19 on Fangraphs 2023 list and Weissert (who turns 29 in February) was their #27…
  7. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/12/yankees-to-acquire-alex-verdugo.html
  8. Giolito, not Lugo, had a 3.79 ERA with the White Sox for 121IP, which is fairly respectable. Then he was traded (and waived) and from his break on, posted a 6.96 ERA over 53.1 IP. In his first start with the Angels and his first SS tart with Cleveland, Giolito combined for 6.2 IP and 18 earned runs! . Who are these idiot managers leaving him in to give up 9 ER in 3IP? Without those two outings, his ERA post-trade would have been 4.89.
  9. I think you meant to respond to a Giolito post. Seth Lugo has never been traded in his entire career…
  10. Could have just stuffed Diekman into the hole…
  11. Or got rid of divisions altogether and sent the best 6 from each league. Three wild cards has done a lot to mitigate it, but there have been plenty of times throughout MLB history that some lesser team got into the postseason over better team(s) simply because they were the least s***** team in their geographic region…
  12. McGuire may or may not have been nothing, but trading Diekman was a big deal…
  13. Bottom line - we all knew Alabama was NOT missing the playoffs and FSU was the biggest risk of being left out for non-football reasons…
  14. Almost everyone is. He’s going to make more money than Poland…
  15. Just wait until Godfather IV, where the Corleone’s teach their puppy to play Bocce. The title is Godfather Meets Air Bud: Get Your Pallino Off My Palleiro.
  16. Yes and it wasn’t that whiny ass Curly Joe. Straight up Mo…
  17. I did back at that other website. I had Mo…
  18. And skipping the first round for two of them, while the third (and worst) one gets to host all 3 games of a best of three. Plus a free taco when someone steals a base…
  19. Oh there is definitely one bigger fish…
  20. It does, but it also creates other advantages. And division winners still get some advantage…
  21. And NOBODY liked Curly Joe or (especially) Joe Besser…
  22. The NCAA doesn’t believe in punishing good teams and players…
  23. Hopefully as a LHRP, but probably not…
  24. Yes but he avoided meaningful ones in 2022 and 2023…
  25. The problem they all have is Armando Galarraga completely destroyed the bar for bad ump call reactions…
