  1. I just think he used the number of teams. It raised no eyebrows with me. The Sox have won 9 World Series of the 120 played. So really if you use history to determine our odds, we’ve won one of every 14 World Series. What I didn’t like was him telling us fans expect titles every year. We don’t. But we do expect trying every year…
  2. Nice historical Sox reference…
  3. Does a bad - or in those cases, mediocre - solely the result of being mismanaged? If you ask me, the mismanagement started before the last few years and has had lasting effects…
  4. That’s what I meant to type…
  5. Did you see that lineup the Sox out out there against a very good pitcher? How far down the depth chart was Jamie Westbrook at 2b when the season started? Or Hamilton at SS?
  6. I think expecting a lineup that contains Jamie Westbrook, Bobby Dalbec, David Hamilton and Garrett Cooper to battle back against the one legitimate All Star on the White Sox was probably a bit much…
  7. So is Garrett Cooper only starting because the starting pitchers in this game are named Garrett and Cooper?
  8. I think that portion of his comments of getting far more attention that it deserves, when the rest of the commentary is far more informative, and not in a “good news” way…
  9. I figured he just said 1 in 30 because there’s 30 teams and he thinks they all have an equal chance…
  10. The White Sox have fans?!? The phrase “White Sox fan” is just used as a pleasant way to describe a Cubs Hater. (This is more true than many of you will believe.)
  11. They’ve didn’t give Bello that big extension so they could then bury their only young pitcher whose thrown 130 IP in an MLB season into a middle relief role…
  12. Yes. Maybe Whitlock wouldn’t have. But Giolito-Pivetta-Bello-Houck-Crawford were locks…
  13. Mo, Chipper and Curly still works.
  14. When your name is Larry, cling to Chipper for as long as you can…
  15. It’s not new. Since 2020, you’ve been able to log into “Zoom” games…
  16. For you non-believers… Chicago play-by-play Jason Benetti in the bottom of the sixth: Well, it’s officially a no hitter alert. Next pitch, Sosa singles up the middle..
  17. Other interesting ones. Jim Abbot: Bats: Left Throws: Left Fields: Left as well And Mookie’s page has a section dedicated to Partial Bowling Records. (John Burkett, an avid and possibly superior bowler, has no such section.)
  18. But by 2027, TJ recovery time might be down to two weeks. It would be like a glorified hernia at that point…
  19. Oh they don’t consistently update. Probably a mid year re-evaluation at the earliest…
  20. I’d still take him on a one year deal. If nothing else, he’s given the Diamondbacks 46 IP the Sox don’t have the depth to cover…
  21. If the Paul O’Neill Kicks:Left thing wasn’t weird enough. This one is on case you wondered about Oddibe McDowell’s utility bills. (Scroll down below Player Transactions and Salaries.) https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/m/mcdowod01.shtml No word from B-R as to why there is no Utility Bills on any Leader Board…
