Grissom isn't kicking off his Boston career in a positive way, but it's not like Sale has exactly established himself as an Iron Man over the past 4 years...
Fair logic.
I really don’t know much (re: anything) about how many minor leaguers a team can carry. I do know they don’t have an infinite amount of roster spots but that’s where my knowledge ends…
I’m assuming nobody since the Sox let Lorenzen sign to pitch for Texas for less money than Boston themselves paid Liam Hendriks to wait until next season…
… that are centered around a down and out veteran catcher (Tom Berenger / Kevin Costner) whose primary responsibility is to mentor a young flamethrower (Charlie Sheen / Tim Robbins) with massive control problems while trying to also control the attention of his love interest (Rene Russo / Susan Sarandon). Both movies also feature characters with deep Christians (Chelcie Ross / William O’Leary) and voodoo practitioners (Dennis Haysbert / Rick Marzan), but only one really has that religious squabble as a side story, so I guess that makes them completely different.
I always thought that movie was a ripoff of the much better Bull Durham. In fact, I would be willing to wager that movie was pitched with someone saying "The premise is we take the characters from Bull Durham, but this time, they're in the Majors."
But the whole premise that a woman wealthy enough to own a Major League franchise couldn’t afford a condo in Miami, especially if the team was winning and selling out games, struck me as a major plot flaw. And that’s ignoring how well Miami baseball teams clearly draw…
They already field a team the same way the court system fields juries.
Some Oakland resident checks his mail, sees the summons, and realizes he's playing RF that night.
Johnny Damon tried raising his arm to disagree, but it was too weak.
But Duran's arm is certainly weak and probably a big part of the reason he played 2B in college...
