  1. No opt out? Definitely, and not because it was the Sox…
  2. That looks like the staff of my fantasy team, plus Wheeler and Strider…
  3. Absolutely not true. In the past 3 years, the only pitchers to receive a $25mill AAV (or more) over at least 6 years are Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinubo Yamamoto and Carlos Rodon, none of whom anyone would consider a 3. Aaron Nola missed by less than $1mill per year. This year, the only other pitchers to receive a $25mill AAV for less than 6 seasons were Snell and Sonny Gray. They are not 3’s. It’s not a commonplace salary that some 90 pitchers in MLB are going to get…
  4. Whitlock has already been extended. He’s signed through 2026 for $17.5mill with two options…
  5. Would you prefer Embrace Culture where we praise you for being too trusting?
  6. One year $25mill. A far cry from seven and a dumb move by Montgomery…
  7. Only arm worth adding is Clevinger, but he’s a problematic human being…
  8. Montgomery to the Diamondbacks
  9. Or we take advantage of his constant search for undervalued talent by dealing him a minor league with little to no value..
  10. CMass high school baseball. We put kids in A Ball!
  11. Even for an injury in the outfield?
  12. Never saw him pitch, but in high school I used to face this kid named Sanders. He wasn't very good, so that doesn't bode well for Sandlin...
  13. Maybe if we make some deals with the Cardinals...
  14. To create the illusion of trying to care so that people buy tickets?
  15. So now you're telling me the FO is not happy with just sabotaging the Boston Red Sox season, they're trying to take down the Worcester Red Sox as well...
  16. Not sure why I keep thinking Isaiah Campbell's name is Isaiah Kennedy. Rest assured this will happen again...
  17. I thought that was only when he was considered an option for the rotation. Possible it was only speculation by non-affiliated websites like soxprospects.com.
  18. Once they signed Anderson to a Major League deal, they needed someone with options to demote, likely only temporarily. Candidates were Bernardino, Weissert, and Winckowski. And maybe Kennedy, not sure about his option status. I would have gone Weissert...
  19. And if Giolito sucks, you try the same approach next season. As Giolito's salary and option are both relatively close to the qualifying offer amount, it is a no-brainer he would decline it...
  20. I don't think you're going to see Bloom make any big trades to help the Boston pitching staff anytime soon...
  21. Isn’t he like 30 now?
  22. A failed prospect isn’t necessarily the equal of a struggling MLB pitcher. Ryan Weber wasn’t a good starting pitcher, but that doesn’t mean Trey Ball could have done the same thing, but for less money…
  23. Also possible…
  24. I suppose they hoped his frequent injuries would allow him to pass through unselected. He had only pitched 59 innings total in the 3 previous seasons. At 26 years old with that track record, was he even good trade bait? Maybe they did offer him around but didn’t get any nibbles…

    3 in/3 out

Not sure you got the (poorly explained?) rules. 3 in - teams going to the paragon that didn’t go last year 3 out - teams that did go last year but will not go this year
