Well, at least we get Willie Mays Hayes in CF to replace Bradley. Until he has tax problems and has to be replaced by Omar Epps the following season...

And every time DD signs a major contract, someone excuses it with “Henry signed off on it.” Doesn’t that mean Dombrowski isn’t either? (And given the number of people who credit Sandoval and/or Hanley with Lucchino, was Ben really ever the head decision maker?)

Even if he was being supplanted, that doesn’t mean the Sox were better off with him going. As I said, DD wanted him to stay, presumably to keep the farm strong...

1) Maybe he didn’t like Dombrowski personally. Reportedly it’s not uncommon. 2) Possible he suspected that, but that doesn’t mean he was correct. 3) Maybe he worked very hard to restore a pretty depleted farm system (while winning a title) that was meant to pipeline players in for years, but knew it would be torn down in front of his eyes when Henry brought in a guy whose very reputation was “Farm Killer”...

Henry signed off on Dombrowski to replace Lucchino, not Cherington. Dombrowski was reportedly caught offguard by Cherinton's resignation...

Now that prolonged case does say it is a very strong possibility, but the author does come up short of saying he can prove anything. I have no idea if Bauer is cheating or not. All we really know about the guy is his feverish addiction to sabermetrics and advanced stats. I'm just not one to label someone as a cheater without actual proof. Unless it's the Yankees...

I could argue that Munoz and Arroyo are question marks at best, but trending positive. And I think Potts is probably closer to MLB than Downs. But the fact remains the farm is getting stronger which should, in turn. have the same effect on the parent club...

With Odor, it can go in either direction or simply maintain the status quo as a high K/high power guy who cannot field. He probably moves to the outfield at some point in the future...

Odor is basically Chavis. He hits home runs. He strikes out a lot. He plays below average defense at 2B. His most redeeming quality is that he is still only 26, so he is a little over a year older than Dalbec and Chavis...

I do like Bauer as a pitcher, and he is potentially the Cy Young winner in the NL this year. But he did not go year to year through arbitration so he could undervalue himself. I would expect him to star the bidding at David Price dollars. He might end up getting less, but he will certainly be overpriced. Which I would be ok with if it was only for 3 or 4 years, but if he is looking for 6 or 7, it starts to become a legitimate concern for the Sox....

You have to train them to time their injuries first. I guess Walker is the most predictable of the three. It seems like if he can get out of April, he is free and clear for the rest of the season....
