    Be fair here. The bumps by Altuve and Springer are actually fairly small. Calling out a 0.031 increase in OPS is like calling Altuve out for getting 6 more singles as proof of cheating. (If Altuve had 6 fewer singles in 2017, his OPS would have been .926.) So is this proof of cheating resting on 1 extra single per month? With Springer, it isn't much more than that. Not even two hits per month. Now Marisnick's numbers jump out at me...

    I don’t know what to make of that story. I don’t get why only papers like the Lowell Sun are carrying it, assuming another one is. Google isn’t much help. But I’m rarely one to assume anyone is guilty of anything with very little evidence...

    The Sox also have Bogaerts and JDM as serious RHH power bats. Moreland is probably not even a full time player, and likely to split time with Chavis or Dalbec, if not flat out lose time there altogether. And there is still the possibility of someone like Dozier taking over 2B. The 3 LHH outfielders ranks very low on the list of issues right now. I think replacing Price in the rotation is a much, much bigger concern, Because if mike Shawaryn or someone even lesser is being counted on for 150 IP this year, this is going to eb a long season...

    true, but he is a lot closer to being Hamilton than Trout. B-R.com lists his most similar hitter by age as Drew Stubbs, a guy whose career flamed out at age 32...
