  1. That’s not what Elktonnick is saying. There was plenty of time (
  2. You kidding me? The courts wanted to send me to Baltimore!
  3. So you’re on record as saying you think the superior offer involved taking back Myers, keeping Price and not resetting? Those were the same only options. Pipe dreaming about some fictional third team jumping in last minute with the moon and stars isn’t an option
  4. I was sentenced by the courts...
  5. $9,000?!? And people in Massachusetts think they get taxed a lot?!? Oh please. Move to Illinois. In Cook County, the taxes on a pack of cigarettes are higher than that...
  6. Yep. You’re right as usual. The fact that none of us know any of that clearly means no one does. After all, teams regularly violate HIPPA laws on the internet to appease fans...
  7. Not at all. He makes you listen as he drones on and on about his successes as a manager. I’d rather pay any fee. Or shave my head with a cheese grater....
  8. To be fair, this might have been Kennedy’s first misdiagnosis. Unless he’s made other attempts. At any point ever...
  9. They’ve also made a lot of correct diagnoses, and sports medicine might not be as simple as your WebMD searches make it out to be. The bottom line is, you have absolutely no idea how much they know, but citing them as being wrong before is tantamount to you being right now is false logic...
  10. Why? The Sox doctors examined him and weren’t too worried. Your medical consultant Kevin Kennedy proved what we all knew - that he never knows what he’s talking about. I know the Red Sox clearly don’t know as much about this situation as you do, but let’s see how this plays out...
  11. Kevin Kennedy was wrong!?!?!?!?!?
  12. Unless they hate sales tax...
  13. Hopefully he will sign a pitcher or two to an MiLB deal. I think a trade is more likely. He tried to acquire a SP (Graterol) is his most significant move, but when that did not work out, he opted for the best prospects he could get. So it is possible he plans to move ne of his prospects/younger players in a subsequent trade to get a SP. But even then, something does have to happen eventually. Best trade pieces he has include: Downs - who was Plan B after not getting a SP, so maybe the plan was to get someone who could be traded for one? Dalbec - blocked at his best position for the near future and using him as a weak-side platoon would not be beneficial yo his development. Chavis - has no real position, but is young and his bat can be worked into lineups easily. Wong.- Same as Downs Chatham - if not MLB-ready, would be soon. His defense is probably his calling card, which translates more easily to MLB than offense Groome - assuming he has any appeal left, but he is also not a Blom guy Duran/Gimenez - since all the younger Sox outfielders play the same position (CF) and don't have skillsets desirable in the corners for most teams, possible one of them could move. Right now, soxprospects.com lists Weber as the fifth starter with the caveat that he is an opener. Personally, I think he is a bad choice for not only an opener role, but also for the roster in general. But Bloom knows these guys better than me. Isn't the whole point of the opener that you enure one of your better - if not your best - relievers faces the top of the lineup where most teams use their better hitters, therefore increasing the chances you neutralize them at least once per game. You don't always get that kind of matchup with closers. But you do with openers. So why Weber, who to me has the ceiling of a mop up pitcher?
  14. Maybe his asking price is a bit high?
  15. He's a role player. But the Sox already have 2 players who can fill that role in Peraza and Lin and a potential third in Arauz...
  16. Or the trade for Jose Urena?
  17. While I like Holt, I wouldn’t say not being interested in him equates to not being interested in winning. The guy is replaceable...
  18. Not to mention, there are no remaining free agent pitchers the Sox need to “clear room” to sign...
  19. The mugger was just trying to restock his farm
  20. He made 18 starts for the Sox that year. If he didn’t make them, those starts would have gone to someone who couldn’t even beat out Aaron Cook...
  21. Or Chris Mazza and Mike Kickham...
  22. Also in teen pregnancy. So at least they have another hobby...
  23. And in that short walk, how many homeless people accosted you?
  24. Well, at least he’s only practicing...
  25. Really he doesn’t like that it was a salary dump. No one does. Not even Bloom. But Dombrowski left an awful mess of bad contracts, injured, aging pitchers, and a barren farm system. If the Sox held Betts and Price, this team would be maybe above average in 2020, and then well below in 2021 and 2022. That might not bother him now, but it probably (definitely) would in 2021 and 2022...
