  1. No. Everyone should just spill what they know. How many more times do you want this scandal to resurface?
  2. Welcome to the club...
  3. Probably depends on how the teams work everything out...
  4. Kinsler thought was the Sox did was no big deal and he mostly talked about the video room being used for players to fix their personal issues, and if they decoded the signs in the process, so be it. But he said it was not an elaborate program like "Codebreaker" that the Astros used, and really made it sound like it was more of an incidental occurence that every team does...
  5. So Slasher was wrong. And most of the pitching rubbers Quantrill pitched from in his youth were actually 18.44 meters from home plate...
  6. Exactly. And how many of them will call Henry out for being cheap and not extending Betts? Betts asks for $420mill. And somehow Henry will be the unreasonable one...
  7. Well, they're covering Myers' salary by sending cash over to Henry. If the Red Sox acquire Myers and then trade him at some point in the future, they can still keep that cash and deal Myers with no money. Although it's not likely anyone would want Myers at that price...
  8. The funny thing is, the Sox still lose out on that deal if the cash is anything less than $39 million, per the BTV Simulator. That's how negative Myers' contract is, even after it's been upgraded. They still need to throw in Baez and lower the cash to $30mill to even this out
  9. I'm sure it will come up regardless of league. There will be those bemoaning Betts even if he is in the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen...
  10. So far, no names, and possibly no one significant...
  11. So here’s my question. If the Sox add Myers and Quantrill, what names are no longer red? You list 26, but not Arauz, whom hopefully Bloom either makes a deal for, or sends back. I would guess Weber, but that’s been my guess for a while. But Weber and Lin get DFA?
  12. Yeah! Wil Myers! Said no one ever. Hopefully Quantrill has his dad’s rubber arm...
  13. ... until his wife helps him pack for that first road trip...
  14. .... unless Mookie has a good year.
  15. The problem is, with Bloom’s methodical patience, this deal might not be finalized until July. Of 2021...
  16. Get me one too!!
  17. Doubtful Holt would take a MiLB deal. Peraza is Holt's replacement...
  18. Can we use :0====>* for vomiting?
  19. Is he really worse than Selig? It's one thing to be Commissioner at a time when a complex scandal hits, but at least he did not do anything as phenomenally stupid as make the All Star game have post-season implications. In fact, to Manfred's credit, he fixed that...
  20. Philadephia is a small market? Forbes says they have the third richest TV deal in MLB, behind only the Yankees and Dodgers...
  21. It's all a typo. Verdugo was not seen with the rapist.; he was seeing a therapist...
  22. He wanted to, but he was puzzled by the nature of the game...
  23. It is worth pointing out that Betts still takes reps at 2B and SS, per Gammons. When Gammons asked him about this, pointing out he already had a position and was not going to be moved around, Betts just replied "You never know what will happen in extra innings."
  24. Also not on Atlanta's wish list. Albies is pretty damn good and his contract also helps makes Betts less afforable. The main reason I would see Atlanta avoiding this is because they, like the Dodgers with Bellinger, will have their own superstar whose free agency they would like to avoid, and it will cost them handsomely as they are aware. The notion of losing the prime years of Acuna because they paid Betts deep into his 30s makes very little baseball sense. The Red Sox and the Mets, on the other hand, could easily position themselves at the front of the line in a battle to see who closes their checkbook first...
  25. Jagger leaves tips bigger than that.
