The big issue with this deal is Benintendi made himself expendable. Had he continued on his 2018 pace, he was more in line for an extension than being trade bait. Cordero was always one of those guys scouts loved but was never able to put anything together, largely due to his frequent injuries. He's not the prospect Austin Meadows was with Pitt, but it's the same idea Bloom went after a guy that he should be capable of more than what he has done. Although Cordero is not as young as Meadows was when Bloom traded for him, but also had fewer at-bats...

Also this poll is straight up popular vote. There is no mucking about with made up things like the Electoral College, which is what they use to steal the elections. And this vote had no attack adds. I don't remember seeing any commercial in which 84-86 wins told me if I vote for 64-69 wins, I will lose my rights, my guns will be taken away, and the entire season will devolve into Socialism. Or was that nepotism?

Available free agents high on my list for the Sox: Keone Kela - who has expressed interest via Instagram in playing for Alex Cora. (He might not run his own account) Brandon Workman Yasiel Puig - OK, there is definite baggage, Kevin Pillar - Hey, Bloom has signed him before. Jake Odorizzi - but I think he is by far the most unlikely. Still if you;re building for 2022, getting a mid-rotation All Star starter for 3 years is an excellent step.

Ryan Weber, who I am definitely not a fan of, is better option than Kyle Hart. Hart is simply not an MLB pitcher. At least Weber is one every now and then..
