  1. Eovaldi having a lot of problems throwing strikes to left handed hitters.
  2. Maybe he ought to think about cutting a few mph off and getting some late movement. I know , easier said than done.
  3. At least there’s a few more arms out there to use.
  4. Eovaldi has no put away pitch. He’s going to have to learn to get outs with contact.
  5. Let’s hope they can start with a scoreless inning; seems like it’s been 2 or 3 to nothing after the first a lot lately.
  6. Betts has been vulnerable to 2 strike breaking balls down and away lately.
  7. White Sox have a lot of young talent that is starting to figure it out. As somebody said, it's not always who you play but when you play them. They are 18-13 since the start of August, which may not sound all that impressive until you realize that that is 94 win pace. Thay are also 13-7 over the past 3 weeks. That includes taking 2 of 3 from the Yankees last week in New York. I said back in June they were going to improve as the season went on; they have. They are going to be a very good club come next year, 2020 at the outside.
  8. Would it have mattered?
  9. Well Covey may suck against everyone else but he has been kryptonite against the Sox
  10. He also can’t possibly pitch any better than he did that night. It was by far his best career outing. Edit - as the Sox get 2 hits while I’m typing this.
  11. Covey is going to come out for the White Sox. He’s the guy who beat Sale 1-0 in Boston in the first Chisox series.
  12. Tells me that they are not expecting Judge back anytime soon.
  13. Sometimes it’s the hitter; Palko’s a good young hitter.
  14. So since “we have more talent” than every other team in baseball, the Red Sox should be an undefeated?
  15. This kid has a ton of movement on all of his pitches tonight.
  16. I said the first time they met in Boston, the White Sox have a decent amount of young talent that would probably get better as the year went on. I was scoffed at. Yet it is exactly what is exactly what has happened post ASB.
  17. Actually, he struck him out. Ball 2 was an easy strike call that Barret didn’t call.
  18. Even the White Sox announcers are commenting on Barret’s strike zone.
  19. They also are playing pretty well right now, they are 11-4 over the past couple weeks.
  20. Given how much the pen had to be used the last 2 games and will likely be needed the next couple games, Porcello may just have to take the pounding, especially if the offense does nothing. He knows the deal.
  21. Two of those hits were very soft.
  22. Per the strike zone on the White Sox broadcast, Garcia should have been called out on 3 pitches. Porcello is going to have a really tough time if he can’t get strikes in the bottom 3-4 inches of the strike zone.
  23. I think it’s Porcello tomorrow, Eovaldi Friday, ERod Saturday and Johnson Sunday. Monday in Atlanta, who knows?
  24. Pale Hose took 2 of 3 from the Carmines (channeling my inner Hawk here) earlier this year.
