You can take the man away from the Yankees but you can't take the Yankee out of the player. He was there waaaay too long to not have a lot of Yankee stench.
What kind of velocity does this pitcher have? He doesn't look overpowering and they should be able to move up in the box a little and get a better shot at that change up.
You almost wonder if Mattingly was saying, kid, learn to get yourself out of thses messes instead of looking to somebody else to do it. It's a luxury he can afford with a last place club.
