  1. Dalas, how many times do you have to be told that in-game commentary belongs in the game thread. It's called The Mike Grace Memorial Game Thread Forum and can be found right above this forum. There's a separate thread for each game.
  2. Sums up the season though. The Rays got 3 huge breaks (Martinez’s double hopping into the stands, the missed strike three and the catwalk foul pop up) and took advantage of all of them. The Sox couldn’t get a hit with anyone in scoring position.
  3. Do the Yankees have a moveable wall out there. Seems like it moves in and out, up and down depending on which team hits it.
  4. Yeah, I noticed that too. One thing to say wow, I’m not sure the Yankee announcers would get that excited. A little disgusting actually.
  5. That was hit an awful long way. Wow.
  6. Go to the game thread for in game commentary
  7. Agree. If Beni (or any other player) has this same 10 game stretch in the middle of June (in a normal season), its just a slump. Why is it when it happens at the start of a season (any season), it's panic time. Beni may never live up to his potential. He may also bloom later on. Time will tell. Benintendi's career slash line: .274/.354/.438/.792 in 479 games Here is another Sox outfielder thru his age 26 season (same age as Beninitendi): .258/.337/.440/.777 in 764 games People who would have given up on the latter would not have had Dwight Evans patrolling right field for 19 years in Boston. I'm not saying Beni will turn into Evans as he ages. My point is you don't give up on certain players because of a bad 10 games or even a bad season. This team is not going to win anything this year; no matter how good the offense is, the pitching isn't there, and the loss of ERod makes that even moreso.
  8. 2 of those hits were due to the stupid shift.
  9. Better hope so, or there's no reset on the luxury tax and we'll be subject to another year of this.
  10. Sox would only be obligated for the MLB minimum; other issues may be in play
  11. Yeah, I wondered if that rundown the other night was it. Lin is probably saying thanks, you had to miss tonight? Thanks
  12. Almost looked like a balk there. Did DeGrom come set?
  13. What’s the word on Bogie tonight? Missed anything they said (if anything).
  14. Probably. He looks sharp which does not bode well for the Sox.
  15. What’s DeGrom’s pitch count? Getting to the pen might be our best bet. 95 mph slider is sick.
  16. Maybe you should delete it now.
  17. Have to let him clear waivers though. Take him now and you pay his whole $6.5M contract. Sign him if he clears and you only have to pay the minimum salary and the Braves pick up the rest.
  18. Didn’t we see this start last year?
  19. Which if the Mets ss has played it correctly it would have been.
  20. Did you see that MLB has decided that the Yankees get to play the Orioles instead of the Phillies the next two nights. They get their favorite whipping boys 12 times now instead of 10.
  21. True, but the pitching has been better tonight than the past 3 games. Not great, but better.
  22. Let’s not pretend the pitchers have been rocked this evening. Hall gives up a ground ball single to where the 2nd baseman traditionally plays. Cespedes gets hit by a pitch that just nicks his elbow gear. Yes, Cano hit the ball hard. The walk hurt because it was followed by that jam shot blooped into right. Brice gives up the doink off the Pesky Pole. The Mets dont have a lot of hard hit balls tonight, but they’ve hit balls in perfect spots.
