  1. Didn't you suggest trades for him earlier?
  2. I hope not- for sanity's sake.
  3. I wasn't aware of abuse charges.
  4. Eovaldi, JBJ and Northcut for Herrera, Robertson and Marchan
  5. I guess saying I was shocked was a poor choice of words, but I feel like i'm in a state of shock- numb. Dead to emotions.
  6. Knew it was coming, but I still feel shocked.
  7. O Herrera DFA'd by Philly. So much for trading a big contract for him.
  8. ND played a pretty tough schedule #4 Georgia #18 Michigan #20 Navy #25 Virginia #30 USC Bowl winner Louisville Beat Iowa St in bowl and easier games vs New Mexico, Virginia Tech (was ranked at time), Bowling Green, Duke, BC & Stanford.

  10. This is actually encouraging. DS is wrong more than right.
  11. I'm not saying it might not end up worse for the Sox, but I just don't think we can know, until we know what they actually did.
  12. How else does the runner on second know what the signs mean unless there is some study given to the subject before he gets to second?
  13. The league actually said stealing signs the old fashion way it part of the game and not illegal.
  14. MLBTR... New Mets manager Carlos Beltran, a member of the Houston team in 2017, was part of the league’s investigation into the Astros. MLB did not issue him any punishment, however, after he was gave the league his full cooperation “and admitted to everything,” Andy Martino of SNY tweets. It seems Beltran changed his tune since the league’s investigation started in November, though, as he initially denied any knowledge of violations on the Astros’ part.
  15. Perhaps. I'm thinking the degree of the second offense can add or take away from the punishment.
  16. I'd rather try him than Peraza, but we already signed JP. He'd be a good depth signing with hope of a return to glory.
  17. The H-A records are not significant. If cheating happened, it will be punished. Besides, nobody knows if these teams figured out ways to cheat electronically on the road, too. It's not like people admit to everything.
  18. Yes, I mentioned that in earlier posts. Even a minor second offense could bring stiff punishment to set an example. I get that, but I still think the degree of the second offense (that must be proven) plays into the type of punishment we will receive.
  19. Hinch heard the banging of the trash can every home game. He's more culpable than some seem to think he is.
  20. One has to wonder, if Cora (or Hinch) told on other teams while being questioned.
  21. It sounds like the banging of the trash can went on all game long during home games.
  22. I don't doubt he was the mastermind, but I'm thinking just about what happened with the Sox. What he did in Houston will affect his punishment but not the Sox punishment. Only what happened with the Sox will count towards their punishment.
  23. I live near Houston, and the talk radio is full of people doubting Altuve, Springer and others' recent success. "Did they know the exact pitch that as coming..." One host even said this might cast doubt on HOF induction for some.
  24. I missed the news of his waiver.
  25. People telling on themselves and making themselves look like cheaters is not something I expect will happen, often, but when players move from one club to another, which happens more often than the old days, you know they tell their new team what their old team is doing (illegally) to try and beat them. Those who get caught are the ones that do much or most of the "squealing."
