I think the MLB Trade Values site had Perez listed at zero value due to his contract. He had a decent season with us, but if the market is in a serious downturn, he may be a casualty.

YES! Pivetta starts year 1 of 4 arbs, next season. Potts has 5+ years of ML team control. All for 2 months of Workman.

We don't know if analytics had anything to do with Cash's pre-determined decision. We do know he did not allow much flex in the plan. 6 Ks in 6 PAs by the next 3 batters, surely points to the call for adjusting the plan, especially in a 1-0 game. He'll never live down this call, which is too bad, because he must be a pretty good manager to get a team like his that far. -

Or even 2! When we start signing free agents, that 26th to 27th slot will become a tougher and tougher choice. If Brice is still around, he will likely be the chosen one to be DFA'd.
