    I thought I heard somewhere the team had the first option and if they did not exercise it then Schwarber could accept a certain amount over the $3M buyout. If I’m wrong, I bet we extend him.

    Better yet, there was an 11 game stretch where he had a 3.09 ERA. That was 58.1 IP (or about 5 1/3 each start) with a .658 OPS Against. (First 11 starts) He was still at a 4.04 ERA after 16 starts (76 IP)

    We shouldn't even count on 2023 for Casas. I think he'll be ready, but it is far from certain.

    LOL. We are talking about 2023. There's a long time between this past deadline and 2023 to acquire a 1Bman, if Schwarber doesn't work out there and has to be moved to DH or LF.

    I've given up on Richards. I'd give Perez another start or two. I'm not sure Perez can pitch from the pen, not because I think he's worse than Richards, though. I'm clinging to hope for Ockimey, because I had him as my "sleeper prospect" two years in a row- way back when...

    You neglected to respond to the point about getting help in 2022 from Houck, Whitlock, Seabold and Bazardo. That's hardly nothing. (True, some will no longer be called prospects, but they will be adding innings and changing roles.)
