  1. Agreed. He planned on mawrin not sucking so bad at the plate, and did not replace him with a defensive utility player. Duran, Santana & Schwarber are worse than the starters on D.
  2. They've also been one of the league's best offensive teams, the last month or two. They are better than they look and Means is back.
  3. Fixed it for you (add SEA game, today.)
  4. Today's games: BOS (Houck) @ SEA (Gonzalez) TBR (Wacha) @ TOR (Ray) NYY (Cortes) @ BAL (Means) A's (Manaea) @ KCR (Minor) Thursday the Sox have off, and it's time for the Yanks to start catching up with our 2 games in hand. A's (Blackburn) @ KCR (Hernandez) NYY (Montgomery) @ BAL (Ellis) Weekend series: BAL @ BOS CLE @ NYY MIN @ TOR DET @ TBR SEA @ KCR OAK @ LAA DET (Ennis) @ TBR (TBD)

  6. 3-way tie for the 2 wild card slots, with SEA and OAK losing ground and time. A look at the Sox OPS: .887 Devers .886 Schwarber .879 Bogey .867 JD .812 Renfroe .789 Verdugo .786 Dalbec .782 Kike .777 Arroyo .724 Plawecki .662 Vaz .564 Marwin 15-150 PAs .977 Iggy .960 Shaw .896 Wong .643 Arauz .597 Santana .578 Duran .549 Chavis .497 Cordero
  7. I'm saying the thought was he may not hurt our already putrid 1B defense, but suddenly Dalbec started fielding well. I never said he was an upgrade on defense. He certainly isn't in LF over Verdugo. I think the thought was it might be a sideways move at 1B D and a big gain on offense.
  8. Nice win. Now, win tomorrow and start a trend.
  9. That's all we needed to break the hex. The floodgates will be opened for the rest of the season. Mark my words.
  10. Wow, an extra base hit with men on base! How long has it been?
  11. Call these guys the Solo gang!
  12. Yes, but he looks like toast, now.
  13. It's seems to be expected, now. We are stuck in a defeatism pattern and can't get unstuck, until someone blasts us out of it.
  14. Renfroe can redeem himself, here.
  15. Everyone else would have against us.
  16. Someone like Taco Bell should offer $1 Million to the next Sox player to hit a HR with a man on. $2M with 2 on. $5M for a granny.
  17. That completes the trifecta.
  18. So, we basically have 4-5 DHs, now. One with a great arm.
  19. I hate to sound like a broken record or a whiner, but I'm so tired of the swinging bunt hits, closed-eyes bloopers and simple plays not being made. It's like every freakin' DAY!
  20. Wow, the Jays were just 3 hit shut out by the Rays.
  21. We have to start realizing keeping the 2018 team together was not a winning strategy.
  22. It is nice to have 3 guys like Whitlock, Houck and Duran already in the bigs, and guys like Verdugo & Devers just barely older than them. Then, there is Dalbec. Even with none of these guys counting as prospects, we still have a very nice farm: Mayer, Casas, Yorke Bello, Seabold, Groome Jordan, Jimenez, Bonachi, W Gonzalez Downs, Mata, Murphy, Song Winckoski, Wong, Ward, Walter Bleis, Lugo, McDonough, Hickey, Santos
  23. With Kike in CF, I don't miss JBJ's defense.
  24. Schwarber was not looking like a downgrade on defense at 1B, until after the trade and Dalbec suddenly looking like a GG 1Bman. We also looked like we had a minus on offense at 1B at the time of the trade. You really don't see the relevance?
