  1. YES! I'd rather hear nothing than lies and deceptions.
  2. KMarte would be a great get, and his AAV is way lower than a FA will be, which might give us the chance at signing one with the KMarte ($19.5AAV) salary added. If we include Duran (7.7) and or Campbell (7.5) the salary hit would be lessened. I'm not sure we could afford Marte + Alonso, but maybe KMarte + Okamoto,Iami or Suarez.
  3. His injury issues are very concerning, but man, the guy can pitch, when healthy!
  4. EV put up some very nice numbers on the farm, but many in HOU felt Abreu was better.
  5. TOR is pouncing.
  6. BR has OPSA buried on the splits page, and fangraphs doesn't list it anywhere. If we use it so much to place value on batter, it makes sense that the same stat would be good for placing value on pitchers. It's also good for SP'ers and RP'ers where ERA drops the ball w RP'er, and SP'ers are charged with ERs that RP'ers allow to score after they leave. Here are a few selected OPSA for 2025: .387 Chapman .522 Early .530 Guerrero (almost as many PAs faced as Early) .543 Whitlock .569 Bernardino (obviously OPSA means little to Brez) .580 Slaten .598 Murphy (See Guerrero & the Bernardino comment) .617 Crochet .622 Wink .647 Weissert .669 Bello .685 Giolito .697 Wilson, .706 Harrison, .713 Dobbins .779 Fitts, .809 Criswell, .812 Moran .823 Buehler, .890 Tolle, .920 Houck .949 Hicks ________________ Available/ Maybe Available? Peralta .603 (.693 in '24) P Lopez .622 (.705 in '24) Bubic .626 (.609 in '24) Sale .627 (.588 in '24) M Kelly .661 (.720 in '24) Ryan .666 (.657 in '24) Valdez .667 (.610 in '24) Lodolo .672 (.696 in '24) R Suarez .679 (.678 in '24) M King .696 (.642 in '24) L Castillo .699 (.705) M Keller .715 (.767) Singer .718 (.721) Gray .726 (.677 in '24) Gore .728 (.736 in '24)
  7. Shoulder hanging by a thread.
  8. I was trying not to ruin everyone's day.
  9. I was responding to someone naming those two. I've already gone through the lost 830+ PAs from Devers and Bregman plus some by Lowe & Ref that were on the plus side. Anthony had 300 PAs in 2025, so maybe he can get 300-350 more in '25. We need to replace about 1150 from Devers, Bregman, Ref & Lowe. Let's give 350 to Anthony. That leaves 800 for Mayer & Casas to hit over .800 in. I'm not buying it. If they give us anything plus, maybe it will be enough to put us over the top. I'd rather see them in that light. For now, we need to replace those 800 PAs with at least one mega bat or two decent ones.
  10. Okamoto might be the guy we get, as his cost will be lower than Bregman, Alonso and many others.
  11. But hey.... we got Joe Kelly!!!!
  12. Sing me up! I'd add another guy like Sandlin or Mullins... maybe more.
  13. When the trade was made, many felt E Valdez was the prize, but Abreu was highly regarded in the Atsros system.
  14. The Mets say they are still interested in Diaz.
  15. I think the rule is the AAV is recalculated after a trade, so the hit on BOS would be $32M ($286M/9) I'd rather we trade for KMarte ($19.5M AAV) or sign Alonso.
  16. I can't find anything that says it was a new injury or a e-injury- just that his progress was slowed.
  17. If we are counting on getting better with Casas and Mayer picking up the slack, count me out. Also counting on an .823 OPS at DH in 2026, something Masa has never reached is a stretch.
  18. I say this every year, and then there is a new group of bottom dwellers with 730 or more PAs. in 2024... 223 PAs E valdes .633 158 McGuire .575 114 Grissom .465 96 Jansen .623 93 Dalbec .410 86 Sogard .650 75 Cooper .455 64 Reyes .451 48 Westbrook .584 (Not to mention .664 from Rafaela w 571 PAs & DHam at .697 w 317 PAs.)
  19. Great! Keep him away from Brez! Apparently he's getting $51M/3, but some is deferred, so the actual amount will count as lower. I heard the Dodgers will go after E Diaz, so how much will he make after seeing this deal?
  20. I'm 99.9% sure we aren't getting two bats, so I'm pulling for the one we do get to be one of the top 3. 1. K Marte, and he fills the 2B need. (Switch hitter, too.) 2. Schwarber, but he'd have to play 1B or push Masa to LF or the bench. (Trade Duran?) 3. Alonso is a bad defensive 1Bman, but so is Casas. He'll probably DH eventually. (Bragman, Bichette or Polanco barely keep us even.)
  21. Nate was a FA, but it just feels too much like an extension.
  22. Cause he's not a clone of them. I'd give Duran & Crawford.
  23. I won't be a bit surprised if one of these others have a better 2026 season than Priester.
