    Personally, I'm not big on hindsight criticism, if I agreed with the choice when made, but I do it, at times. I had hoped we'd sign another SS, but with Story expected to return and hope for Mondesi by May, I felt Kike and Change would be okay. Chang got hurt. His replacement, Reyes, got hurt. Kike ended up sucking on D at SS and at the plate. The choice failed. It's hard to think having 5 guys who can play SS would end up being just one: Kike and now Chang. In hindsight, the choice failed. I don't put much blame on Cora for this, because we had no other options. I felt like it was worth giving Arroyo a shot at SS, but I trust Cora knows better. Iggy was DFA'd and could have been added for super cheap.

    I listed SEA as the last Sox series before the deadline. The other series listed are for TOR, NYY and HOU.

    I drink no sugar lemonade. Sorry for getting testy with you. I really do like Duran and want him to play everyday. I just like other Sox players, too for specific roles.

    You don't know if he would have been around for the third round. Look, even if Yorke ends up being a swing and miss, that draft does not look bad, so far. Our farm rankings have been on the rise. He added several prospects in other ways that have already contributed, and to me, they sort of make up for all the HS picks that are farther away. The rankings are speculative, but it looks good to me, so far.

    If he keeps playing like this, 1B or DH in a couple years.

    It's a fair opinion, but the season is not over. We are now very close to a couple ALE teams that have some big issues, too.

    We are on pace for 85.3 wins, so a couple wins out of the gate could project to 86 wins.

    Had Bloom signed or added Iggy when he was released, it would have been a better choice than Kike. I had hoped we'd sign Andrus and play Kike at 2B, and I think that would have been a better choice, despite Andrus not hitting well. (I'm happy the .499 Chang is back, as are many others.) I was okay with the SS plan on day one, but GM are judged in hindsight, and the plan failed. Bloom got it wrong.

    Quite simply, I'm avoiding any back and forth with Red. I'm pretty sure most of the board is happy it has stopped. I do often comment on something he said to another poster or the comment they replied to him with, but I don't see why that should be an issue. I was at fault for keeping the pissing match going, and chose this way to lessen that from happening. Occasionally, I see nothing has changed with the frequent misrepresentations and twistings of what people say, including my own statements. I can't do back and forths with that. If it bothers him and others, so be it. It's better this way than before.

    Nice armchair gobbledeegoop. It's not about "lesser opinions" and never was. I've never put anyone on ignore for their opinions. It's the constant misrepresentation of my statements, then double downs when confronted with the obvious false narratives, plus the near total lack of understanding on what words mean and don't mean. It's hard to continue discussing something with someone like that. There are plenty of posters I disagree with on many things- some almost everything (like you), but I've never come close to putting them on ignore or even thought of doing it.

Woo won 5-3 Drohan 3IP, 4H, 1ER, 1BB, 5K Schreiber continued his rehab with 1IP, 1H, 0ER, 0BB, 1K 2-4 EValdez w 2B & 3B 2-4 Dalbec 1-3 Rafaela w 2B & HBP 2-3 Sogard 1-4 Abreu POR won 2-1 I Coffey may keep moving up the rankings (5.1, 3, 1, 3, 9) Hickey hit the 2 run jack to win the game. His 9th. GRE is up with Blalock looking good.
