until there is a 100% balanced schedule and robot umps it will be impossible to dictate who is the worst team. me? i'll take the team with the better pitching in the postseason. everytime. these are the earned runs the Starting Pitcher of the winning team has given up thus far in this years World Series: Game1: 2 Game2: 2 Game3: 1 Game4: 0 Game5: 1

Actually many of us said that DD would decimate the Farm when he was hired. that is exactly what he did. on top of that he also buried us with 3 SP contracts that look not so great for us now in SPE (props to Bell that is a great acronym for our 3 high paid/oft injured starters). Bloom has a rep for building competitive teams at low cost while also building a strong foundation of young (see: inexpensive) pitching. hopefully he does as good of a job doing what we expect him to do as DD did......

only 1 of those guys is tradeable and technically he isn't even on our books for next season. DD made the deal with the devil for Price. we have to live with it.

An unbalanced schedule will always have anomalies like that. Until there is 100% balance schedule a WC team will have just as good as shot as the ALC winner....

chocking can happen anytime. i said the lights are brightest in WS and yanks/sox games. playoffs are still playoffs tho. do you think the lights are as bright in a NLCS on TNT vs WS on FOX? -

you missed were i said pre 2018 Price. yeah, but his 3 IP of relief in 2008 where he gave up 2 runs (1 Earned) aren't anything to hang a hat on. is your point that verlander does not have issues pitching in World Series games? -
it's going to be a bidding war for sure. Betts basically deemed that when he stated he won't sign extension and is going to FA. with a 2020 reset we will be in the best possible position for JH to open his wallet for the betts sweepstakes....345MM/12 is what it will take....

not to mention the 2 hr's by the now admitted juicer giambi that barely cleared the wall. no juice = flyouts. that 2003 ALCS was a complete cheat job by NYY. but it made 2004 that much sweeter....

we wont sign anyone this offseason. at least not anyone you rate as A+ quality. we are resetting. look for 2020 offseason for spending.
