the cliff is real tho? JH literally just proved it by mandating that we are to reset the LT in 2020. Werner tried to walk it back saying it wasn't set in stone but they still want to sell 2020 season tix. the cliff has just happened. the thing is, if we do it right the cliff can literally be only for 1 year. but they need a GM with all the right moves to make that happen. i am available for the right price....

i dont know where the "20 whatever" started. i have used bleacher report only and as of their latest rankings (Post 2019 trade deadline) the Red Sox are ranked #30. has something happened between the deadline and end of season to move them up a few spots? perhaps. reality is a #20 Farm is probably closer to #30 then to #15. perhaps our move up from #30 coincided exactly with the firing of DD (aka "Farm Destroyer") as the people doing the rankings realized the remaining scraps in our Farm are safe from being dealt for the time being......

they are holding off making the announcement in case the MFY win the world series. if they do, Sox will announce the new GM that day to try and steal some headlines.

Tanaka is a guy that is absolutely nails in bright lights (so far). Almost schilling like. I bring him back for 4 and 7. I hope Boone listens to you and game 7 implodes on yankees.....

Pitching = parades. “Aces” certainly help that formula but guys on a hot streak (see: Lowe) can certainly do it. Tanaka looks hot as hell right now and may start 3 games this alcs, I would if I were Boone.

Outside of baseball I disagree with everything this man stands for. But for pitching only I bet he would be an amazing pitching coach. Not sure how many of you read his “38 stitches” blog after his starts but damn was that some insightful stuff. I would love to see him get a shot.

i thought we were talking about what to refer to the Farm as? i never heard a Farm referred to as traded. stocked, loaded, decimated, empty all come to mind. but traded isn't a term i have ever heard to describe Farm.

2020 trade deadline if either or both price/EO are pitching well/healthy and we are not in contention we may be able to offload them without too much of a $$$ hit. this offseason they are worthless in trade value.

i can agree with that. if we went from top 3 Farm to like 15-20 Farm i would use "decimated" without larger font and without bold font.

the results would have been the same....a top 3 Farm turned into a #30 Farm. decimated would still be the word. the only difference is that when talking about DD no one would be able to say "at least he got us a parade". unless you believe we get one in 2018 without beni (see: skinny beni "the catch"), devers, and erod......
