agree 100%. the interview/discussion with ozzie was awkward at best. not to mention it took place during David Ortiz AB.

Hey YotN. i think the difference with 2016 season is that there are already empty seats at Fenway. Ownership will pull the trigger mid season if that keeps up.

i could definitely see a rotation at the DH spot next year (but HanRam not getting the bulk of it). sss as a DH in his career HanRam .318 / .951 in 116 PA's.....so he may have the chops/mindset to sit on the bench the whole game and only stroll onto the field 4 times a game to rake. but his salary dictates to me that as long as he is an "average" 1bman defensively he will get the bulk of the playing time there. and he has certainly been better than "average" for the first 3 weeks at the position.

Ramirez has been playing Gold Glove defense at 1b. yup, i said it. His salary dictates that we play him at 1b. Papi is the greatest DH of alltime and he never sniffed $22MM salary. Cannot waste that much salary on DH spot.

maybe some of that "sneaking" he will have to do will burn some calories? i say let's not make it easy for him to be a fat slob. Maybe Dr. Andrews can recommend lap band surgery for his "shoulder" injury? if Pablo wants a second opinion we can send him to Dr. Seuss......

as this is my first day posting here i have zero knowledge for what caused them to be banned from this site. our love for the Boston Red Sox can cause "passionate" debates at times. i leave it up to you, the long time talksox posters, and the Moderators to decide whether a BDC shutdown "2nd chance" can be granted to any formally banned members. Question - how do i add automatic signature to my posts?

The organization needs to hire an around the clock 24/7/365 personal chef & personal trainer for The Butterball. although it is surely not in his contract, DD needs to pull Pablo and his agent aside for a discussion and explain that he will not see the field again until he loses XXX amount of weight. right now it's a huge sunk cost. DD needs to make a small investment for the chef & trainer to try and recoup something from that contract. and no way on earth you let him go home by himself for any holiday since he saw fit (pun intended) to gain 20+ pounds during a couple week visit home over Xmas vacation. Unless of course DD's plan is to just keep on having Phantom Injuries place The Butterball on the DL so that the organization can recoup some $$$ from insurance.....

Hello all! King thanks for starting this thread over here. to all existing members of this forum - thanks for the warm welcome. i have been posting on BDC forum since 2006 under this same username. it is sad that site is closing after a decade of posting with members over there that have become more like family than anonymous posters. Hopefully most (all!) will migrate over to here and we can see our family grow. Once BDC finally shuts down (end of May) i will be a daily participant to this site. I will be transferring my season long EE vs RS cernterfielder Slasher Tracker to this site at some point in the coming days.
