But Cora has been perfect tonight because there is absolutely no one on talksox would have let Johnson onto the field, let alone have him pitch. So, me, I trust Cora.

Cora pulls the plug at exactly the right time and prevents Porcello for getting his 6 runs in 6 innings.

They have 20 quality starts to our 22, and we are ranked 2d in MLB in most quality starts. Houston has the most, 26.

Excuse me? Sale hasn't stepped up? He has six quality in 8 starts with an ERA of 2.02 and a WAR of 2.2, highest on the team. That's a step down? Porcello butchered his start tonight, and Pom has 2 quality in 4 starts with an ERA of 5.23.

ABsolutely true. What worries me is our bullpen vs. theirs, and that assumes Porcello won't give back another run in the 6th. You know, 6 in 6 has a nice ring to it. Shows consistency.

I don't see that at all. The Sox can hit beyond question, even with a weak bottom third of the order. What's happened is the rotation is in trouble and the bullpen is less than reliable except for Kimbrel, and we are about to see that play out.
