  1. I feel your pain.
  2. And another error. And he looks injured....
  3. LOL OK, that was funny.
  4. I agree with this. I have not been a fan of what Dombrowski has given up to build this team, but if we win World Series or three, then it's all worth it.
  5. All this crap with Machado has me really riled up. I can't stand the Os. I hope we beat the snot out of them the next two games. Get it done boys! WIN!!!
  6. Torre says that Sale's pitch was intentional, which it was, but says that he thinks Bundy's pitch that hit Mookie was not intentional. What???
  7. That depends on whether you mean it will happen at least once or exactly once.
  8. You really need to quote the stat heads correctly when you quote them.
  9. Look at that. A bunt for a base hit. We're in business!
  10. There's a way to go between now and the deadline, and it remains to be seen if we'll have a glaring need (I know some think we need a big bat, but I'm not sharing that concern at this moment), and also if we can afford to lose Marco. We still don't know what we will get from Pablo. I would hate to see Marco traded also.
  11. LOL Being a math teacher, this post made me cringe.
  12. I am over the issue as well, and back on the Pedroia bandwagon as I previously posted. Personally, I think it's mostly the media that is dragging this thing on. I don't expect an incident during this series.
  13. I'm not talking right now, but more in terms of a trade deadline deal if Pablo proves to be competent. Maybe they're not in a rush to bring Pablo back because they're showcasing Marco. Marco would bring back more in trade than Holt or Rutledge would.
  14. Actually, not really true.
  15. Actually, we do know what a significant sample size is and the number is hardly random. The sample size does depend on the stat you're trying to measure, however. Talking about 'trends' is leading us back into the 'hot hand' debate...
  16. It pretty much already is a personal caddy rotation. Leon catches Sale and Porcello, while Vaz catches ERod and Pom. Leon was catching Wright, but Vazquez has overtaken Leon for that job.
  17. I recently said the same thing about Pablo. The FO does not seem in any rush to get him back. When asked about Pablo, there always seems to be a very curt "no timetable" response. I've heard a lot of talk about trading Holt. I wonder if the FO has any ideas of trading Marco?
  18. Score more runs than the other team!
  19. You know Thorne must be really, really bad, when I'm excited about getting to watch the ESPN over the Orioles feed. Screw Bundy. He's going down. Go Sox!!! WIN!!!
  20. I don't know what he looked like last year because I didn't really watch him, but he has more errors already this year than he had all of last year. Not sure what's going on with that.
  21. OBP, or avoidance of outs, is still king, be it singles, walks, or doubles.
  22. I agree that it is easier to score runs with slugging than without it, OBP being relatively the same. OPS has a stronger correlation to run scoring than either OBP or SLG, which obviously makes sense.
  23. LOL cp. You know you could always just look the word up! Snarky is not a compliment. Bellhorn is paying me back for calling him a crazy Canadian.
