Well, our run differential looks a lot better than it did after our first 3 series. We are still one game better than our Pythagorean W-L record because of our 5-0 record in one run games. Interesting to note that we are also 5-0 in blowout games. That's the sign of a good team.

Not to take anything away from what Velazquez has done, but the improvement in adding Pom to the rotation should be felt over the long run. Pom is not likely to improve over the two starts Velazquez has already made, but he will likely be a fair improvement over what Velazquez would do the remainder of the year as a starter.

It's far too early to crown ourselves division champs, that's for sure. But dang do we have a good team!

I can't either. The good thing for me is that I'm not in the Boston area and I don't have a Smart phone, so I'm not getting constant updates on anything. I can make it through the day tomorrow without hearing the score, come home from work, then watch the game. OTOH, I'll probably wake up and check to the scores first thing in the morning because I'll be anxious to know if we won. LOL

Same thing that happens in court all the time. Unless there's a confession, juries are convicting only beyond a 'reasonable' doubt, not to 100% certainty or fact. And the accused often say that they are innocent.

There have been plenty of seasons where we thought we had good pitching depth. Then suddenly, we're looking at the likes of Sean O'Sullivan. You can never have enough pitching.

Maybe with Lin, his improvement is for real? Red Sox Stats @redsoxstats 23m23 minutes ago Tzu-Wei Lin started hitting the ball in the air last year and became a legit prospect. Air 2015-18: 39%, 39%, 52%, 11 of 14 (79%) 19 of his 50 statcast batted balls the last 2 years have been hit 95+ mph. Same as Betts and Moreland, better than Benintendi, Bogaerts, etc.

One of the reasons that I do not post in game threads is that emotion rules and I'm afraid of what I might post. LOL I don't like the way Price treated Eck, but I also think that the incident was overblown. Not that I'm excusing Price's behavior, just that I don't think it was as bad as we were led to believe by the media. As far as the rest of the stuff, I guess we'll have to disagree. -

To be honest, I initially thought that the timing of his injury was rather suspicious as well. But after having time to think about it rationally, I realized that it really didn't make any sense, especially since Price was on the DL for so long. -
I like Jacko. I might call him out on something, mostly because he's a Yankees fan who tends to have overly favorable views towards his team, but I have never and would never call for his ban.

Harmony has his opinion. You are always saying that everyone's opinion matters and that someone's opinion is not wrong just because it doesn't agree with yours. I don't expect you to back down from your opinion. I certainly am not going to back down from my opinion. But I do think you've been rather condescending in your responses to Harmony, and in your responses to other posters in regards to Harmony, when he has been nothing but respectful in his posts.

No matter how many times you say it, your opinion of Austin's intent is just that, an opinion. There is no way you can know for sure what his intent was. Only Austin knows that. Now if you say that you are 100% convinced that it was intentional, I can live with that. But it's still your opinion, not a fact.
