  1. Sale will be the stopper tonight. The rest of the rotation will follow his lead, like they unfortunately did the first time through.
  2. Yup. We have the other teams right where we want them.
  3. Yeah, I found that interesting. Certainly Cora would not change his mind after suck a short sample.
  4. I have them both on my fantasy team. Which is the precise reason why I won't have any Red Sox players on my team.
  5. What those billionaires could be doing with all the money they're making is try charging the fans less money in ticket prices and build a freaking farm system.
  6. Unfortunately, I have to side with you on this one Babe. What the Sox are doing is no different than what the Yankees were doing. The Sox and Sox fans have become what we always hated about the Yankees and the Yankees fans. No, I'm not going to give back any of the championships that we win with a enormous payroll, but I am very much against building a team that way.
  7. Personally, I don't like it one bit.
  8. It appears that this could be the case, which I never would have believed would happen. Good for Red Sox fans.
  9. Another fun fact: The Red Sox, Yankees, and Astros are currently a combined 3-8 with a -11 run differential. Go baseball!
  10. Cora has taken quite a bit of heat over this, and my understanding is that he is rather defensive about it. Good for him. Stick to your guns, Cora.
  11. Fun fact from Speier: Red Sox starters: 15 innings, 13.20 ERA; Red Sox bullpen: 18 innings, 2.50 ERA
  12. Yankees fans post on Sox boards to hang out with cool, fun people. There aren't any on the Yankees forums.
  13. The Red Sox will have a deep playoff run. The Mariners, not so much.
  14. Congrats to you and your Mariners Harmony. They outplayed the Sox big time.
  15. I will sleep well, knowing that I will wake up to a Red Sox victory. Go Sox!!!
  16. Amen brother. Especially when I have to get up at 5 a.m.
  17. At least we didn't lost to the Os at home.
  18. Studies show that you put your best 3 hitters in the 1, 2, and 4 spots, with the OBP guys in the #1 and #2 holes, and the SLG guy in the #4 hole. That said, who goes where doesn't make enough of a difference to worry about. That being the case, Beni and Betts should be placed where they feel most comfortable. If it turns out that Beni does not perform well leading off, and I'm not saying that that is or will be the case, then Cora should put him back to batting second.
  19. I actually agree with this. It was Cora's plan to intentionally hold them back during ST and at the beginning of the season, preferring to keep the long term season goals in mind. All of his 'marathon' managing paid off last year. While the plan may have cost us a couple of early games, I suspect that Cora knows what he is doing.
  20. I always expect or hope for the same, but so much for momentum.
  21. LOL I did. There's a legit reason this year. As you know, Zac has been the commissioner of our league since we started playing. We are playing in honor of him this season.
  22. I may be the only one, but I am on board with this rule. In fact, the more I think about it, the more I like it.
  23. What an awesome comeback win last night! A big Thank You to Moreland and to Barnes, and thank you Barnes for not creating any 9th inning drama (outside of going 3-1) against their leadoff hitter.
