I really think that many posters had a preconceived notion that our bullpen would not be good, and due to that preconceived notion, the meltdowns are sticking out far more than the shutdowns. This is understandable, because meltdowns are so much more glaring and so heartbreaking, that they tend to be more memorable. The pen has not been as bad as some posters make it out to be. IMO, the pen has been about the same as last year's pen.
Our bullpen needs some help, as do most bullpens as the season wears on. If Dombrowski adds one or two solid depth arms, the pen should be good to go. It's more important that we get Eovaldi right.
