  1. For me you have to try and move Campbell. He just doesn't have a position and too may question marks. It feels likely we trade Duran, too. That's $15m plus coming off the books. Two big bats and bull pen help starts to look possible then. I wonder if Bloom (or another rebuilding team) would take the hit on Yoshida for 2 years for the 7 years (plus 2 club options) of Campbell at £7.5m on the LT. It would clear $27.5m per year and frees up the DH position. Would be very helpful around now. My guess is we might need to add another which is probably too much then.
  2. We're going over that first line. Considerably, I'd imagine.
  3. The best defensive Cfer in the game and a highly rated starting pitcher. Bogaerts will be a disaster here on out. Tatis is worth a lot but I'd rather we trade from our strength to get him than load up on a terrible and very long contract.
  4. But you're also giving away Ceddane and Harrison. No thanks. Throw Massa in there, too and you might have me,
  5. 8 years at $12.5m a year is still too much for me. It would have to be some package coming back.
  6. I do not want any part of that Bogey contract, no matter who we're getting back.
  7. Definitely, but they've got next to no chance of shifting Darvish or Bogaerts. Bogey must pinch himself daily at getting that contract.
  8. I saw quite a few posts last night suggesting that Bello could be moved for an upgrade. That's the only way I see us getting another starting pitcher in. $9m on the LT. Otherwise I think we're set, unless we miraculously manage to shift Masa.
  9. I don't know if Preller is in love with Duran enough to consider pissing off the natives with this deal, but it's been floating in my head since around the deadline last year. If you sent Campbell as well you're not a million miles off being close to equal on the LT as well. But I suspect SD wouldn't want his contract as they're looking to shed some. I'd happily include any of the players you've mentioned there.
  10. @notin while I'm in fantasy outcome mindset - how does Abreu and Duran as a combo match up on BTV to Tatis?
  11. Nothing about this makes much sense to me unless his market craters. Yes we could do with an upgrade on Wong, but we have bigger and more expensive fish to fry,
  12. His numbers at Fenway and Yankee stadium do give you pause. But I have faith in Bailey.
  13. Reports surfacing already that this isn't Bres' #2 move and that he isn't against moving Bello.
  14. My comment was do with the fact that neither were there when Bloom was, so his familiarity with them due to his time in Boston is pure Bowden. Edit: I see you've got it.
  15. Wasn't even there for the Fitts deal. Was sacked 3 months prior. Though, maybe there was work done on scouting him when he was there.
  16. You've got to love Bowden. Never lets actual facts get in the way of an opinion.
  17. @UtahSox from Cotillo
  18. $20m in LT terms. I think we'll be going way over the 244 limit.
  19. Luxury tax hit for us is $20 million I believe....
  20. Same. Only the money worried me, and that's been allayed now.
  21. It was rumoured they were trying to move him at the trade deadline, too. So I don't think they were overly high on him.
  22. Are these projections with ballpark specifics in mind?
  23. Yeah that changes a lot. I was thinking we'd get like $5m
  24. Woah!! Okay that's pretty good!
  25. That's a lot of money hitting the bill, but I'm all for the next two moves if they pull them off. Still some bullpen work to do, too. I like that Breslow isn't waiting around at least.
