Same here. I wasn't looking for an argument with you. My first post was genuine, I hadn't seen any one poster that had slagged off DD for his lack of moves and then did the same for this move. No biggie.

I'm willing to have a conversation with you, or anyone else who is willing to have their posts argued against, or questioned. That's how discussion works. But sure, make all the sweeping statements you want. It's a free world. Ted Williams was better at ballroom dancing than he was at playing baseball.

i don't mind Beeks going, but i thought maybe there was more value to get with him, than just a rental. Maybe I'm underselling Eovaldi.

Whereas I'm okay with nearly all the moves DD has made but don't like giving up Beeks for a 2 month rental. God knows what group I fit in.

You don't have to quantify anything, but expect to be picked up on your posts and have discussion about them....seeing as it's... well... a discussion forum. Make all the sweeping statements you want. All I did was ask who these people are as I haven't seen anyone fall into both the two groups you mentioned.

Yeah I'm with you, I really think we are trying our hardest to stay under this year. Maybe if something falls into our laps that we can't pass up... but otherwise I think we will be trying our hardest not to go over that limit.

I'm not sure why you're so defensive over the question. You made a statement saying that there were people who criticised him both for not making trades and for making this one. I simply asked who? There are clearly quite a few people who think DD has traded away too many prospects. That's a different issue, however.

I wouldn't go past tense on it just yet. Jacko has the impressive ability to tell us how everything is wrong with the club when we are 5.5 games in the lead, never mind behind.

Friday. I was considering going on Saturday, too, especially if Sale was playing. We are travelling up on Thursday though, so no chance of making that one. Happy to watch the team whoever is pitching obviously, but especially when The Man is playing.

If we can get it up to 10%, that's a pretty good amount. Plus he also had an easier spring training than normal, where his work load was also decreased.

Yup. Has as been pointed out often - the Mets suck and even against DeGroom the Yanks were heavy favourites. Better they have to deal with a punishing physical schedule. Especially when an easier run of it lies ahead.

Yeah Chavis has lost all trade value. I can't see many wanting to touch him for a while yet.

Britton would be a risk because of his injury but if he is anywhere as good as he was he'd be an awesome pick up. I wonder what the cost would be...
