  1. This is a post, not a text message. Posting like this makes you look like a child. Back on point of course I'm not happy that Els ended up in the Bronx. But let's be honest, a 7 year $153 deal for a 30 year old who is always hurt is a panic move. Sure it will sting for the first few years but just like with Pedro by the second half of that deal we will be the ones who are laughing. Still it's a big loss and I don't see how anyone can expect Bradley to fill it. I agree that he has the look of a career .230 hitter.
  2. Is it my imagination or is the opening poster typing with an accent?
  3. No question baseball is the best radio sport. That's why it sucks being a Sox fan in MD. Must be great to listen to an inning or 2 as you drive around on a summer evening.
  4. While I see your point soccer is not unlike a low scoring pitcher's duel in baseball where every base runner appears critical. The problem I have is every soccer game is a low scoring pitchers duel and I'm not sure I could handle baseball if every game was 1-0 or 2-1.
  5. Another member of Red Sox Nation, good to have you aboard. I live in MD and the only Sox games I see are in Baltimore. I can confirm that the B hats take over the place. When the Orioles stink it's probably 40%, lately more like 30%. Which is obviously a lot for a road crowd. With another ring I expect the numbers to go up again.
  6. Yeah I was going to vote for Koji but it wasn't an option. One of the main reasons I didn't see a championship this year was the closer situation. Every team who has ever advanced in the playoffs had that guy. When our answer was terrible, then went down for the year, and then the "other" closer went down for the second time in 2 years I figured we were playing for next year. Nobody expected Koji to put up historic numbers but he did and was a huge reason we are where we are.
