I see it possibly as this opening day:
1st rotation spot: FA signing
2nd rotation spot: FA signing
3-5: rubby, kelly, ranaudo ( even though his last outing in triple a was poor), buccholz. These dudes are all in the mix.
Of the only people we have left in our rotation, he is the only one who has proved to be good enough to be a starter next year based off of his performance this year. Joe Kelly could ultimately work his way into the rotation too if he pitches well the rest of the season and so could ranaudo. I don't think they would commit to webster unless he really improved his command.
Rubby doing a nice job there. It seems like he either gives up only one run in his starts or 4 or 5. But that 3.23 era looks nice. If he can continue to pitch well he should definitely have a spot in the rotation next year.
Its going to be interesting to see what happens to will. Does ben say ok will these last 40 plus games you have to show us good offensive production or your out? Does he trade him in the offseason? Or does he give him the job at third next year as his final chance?
If he can hit .230, providing everyone else are lineup is producing at a high level, I am ok with automatic out jr. If the rest of our team can't produce enough and we need more offense there, then he has to go.
Outstanding base running by pedey and good job by papi lifting that down and away pitch to left field. When pedey got on this game, papi drove him in. Still waiting for cespedes to go deep.
