Think of it this way. None of us have heard of this kid Marcus Stroman before we played him last week and he has owned us and has been very good this year. Out prospects are overrated.

I agree. Even at the height of the steroid era he only hit over 30 hrs once in his career. Papi has better career slugging. The only thing edgar could do better is hit for a higher average.

Well we all knew that .500 baseball after the break and to the deadline wasn't going to cut it . Best they can do now is 7-6 .

Clay has pitched only two close to full seasons. In 2012 it was a bad one, in 2010 it was an amazing one as he had a 2.33 era. Lester has essentially had 7 full seasons (assuming he doesnt get injured this year) and only one was bad.

Since he appears to be no longer even a double digit hr guy, he has to hit 300 and be an on-base machine. At least 290.
