    He has the potential to be very good but he just is so inconsistent. He can't and has never thrown over 200 or more innings. He has really only pitched two close to full seasons and one was sub par with a 4.56 era in 2012 and the other was excellent with a 2.33 era in 2010. Even the first half of last year he pitched like the best pitcher in the league but he has now regressed to this after his injury. Clay buchholz is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get and because of that, I don't want him in the rotation.

    Not to mention Dunn's career average is almost 50 points lower than papi's at .238. You better have a huge amount of hrs if you are a .238 career hitter in order to make the hall of fame. Also, if you look at best seasons, adam dunn's best season was 2004 when he hit 46 hrs with a .266 average with 102 rbis with a .956 ops. Papi 's best season was either 2007 when he hit 35 hrs with a .332 ba, 117 rbis and a 1.066 ops or 2006 when he hit 54 hrs with 137 rbis and a .287 ba. Both of those seasons are quite a bit better than anyone dunn has ever had.

    With his 0 for 5 performance today, it seems like brock holt indeed has hit a wall and is slumping. In his last 5 games, he is hitting .050 (1-20) and hasn't had a hit his last two games. While every player goes into slumps, lets see if he can turn things around after hitting this wall and doesn't end up spiraling downward for most of the 50 plus remaining games.

    Last year nap looked bad hitting only .260. If you can hit .260 on this team, you are one of our best players!

    While overall it has been bad for xander, he did show flashes. In april he was alright and the last half of may he was on a huge tear. But since june he has pretty much s*** the bed.

    Although I can't stand Joe Maddon and I think his themed road trips are stupid, he seems to be a good in- game manager and a guy the players like.

    I know he's younger and Im not saying jackie is better. I just thought that xander would still be better up to this point. I mean he has 1 double in the last two months.
