  1. It's like the Jay Cutler extension, and the bears gm was fired for that one.
  2. Agree. His career era + is under 100. He's been mainly a 4 who might be able to pitch like a fringe 2/3 guy when he's good. (And he is currently pitching like a 6).
  3. Everyone congratulate Procello. Among al pitchers with at least 60 innings pitched, he has the worst era at 6.08. Quality pitching.
  4. He has to go get out of the rotation if you want to try to salvage the season.
  5. Are you serious porcello. You throw a bunch of nice cutters and sinkers and then you finish it off with a meatball?
  6. Good for dealing them. Can't have a rotation with 5 lefties.
  7. The only problem with the sox starting pitching prospects who project to make an impact in the big league ( Trey Ball, E- rod, Henry Owens, Brian Johnson) is that they are all lefties.
  8. The sox are gonna have a dilemma soon with there starting pitching prospects, due to the fact that all of their pitching prospects are lefties (Trey Ball, Brian Johnson, Henry Owens, Eduardo Rodriguez). I could see them having at most 3 lefties in their starting rotation. It's going to be interesting to see how ben is gonna handle this.
  9. They gotta play like a 100 win team from here on out to have a shot at that second wildcard spot. And we all know without solid pitching that is gonna be out of the question.
  10. Steven souza has been the rays next version of carlos peña.(when he was towards the end of his career).
  11. This aro guy continues to get rocked.
  12. I agree. It's not like the sox are gettinf hits left and right. They have just hit 3 huge hrs.
  13. Its nice to see that his power came back this month. He's got six now this month which is very solid.
  14. Too many fastballs right down the middle.
  15. He ranked 78th out of 81 in era for pitchers with at least 80 innings pitched going into this game.
  16. Brock looks like he might go hitless in his last four games.
  17. He's nearly 28 years old and he barely knows how to play the game of baseball. As was said before, his cuba stats were not impressive at all and were absolutely trumped by both cespedes' and jose abreu's. It was a bad overreactive signing.
  18. Sox should tell him to move back to catcher or hes heading to triple a. That way we can move pablo to first and put hanley at third.
  19. It's pretty ridiculous how his ops is nearly 700 points higher vs righties than lefties.
  20. Nothing on this team has proved to be even partly decent. The bull pen's not good. The starting pitching is horrendous. The hitting hasn't been there. This team can't bank on any type of consistency from the pen, lineup, or starting rotation.
  21. Only thing I blame on pablo right now is his bad defense lately. Other than that it's all on the sox. He's actually not performing too much worse than he was at this time last year offesnively. Anyone who thought he would be a 25 hr guy with an ops in the 800s like he was 4 years ago was just fooling themselves. He's a solid, above average hitter who has shown to be a real difference maker in the playoffs. Unfortunately if you don't make the playoffs, he doesn't seem too spectacular.
  22. Thats true. Will's rbi's are pretty decent though. Thats the only reason I gave him the slight edge. This performance by panda shouldn't be too much of a surprise though, He had similar stats by this time last year.
  23. The sad thing about panda is that will is producing slightly better than him out in san diego for a fraction of the price.
  24. Rusney doesn't look too good up there now. He's a got a lot of work to do.
