I agree with you 100 percent. Look at Sean Coyle from last year. He was hitting in the mid 300's for a good part of the year last year in double a and can't do squat now. Even Garin Cecchinni raked in double a and has now fallen off a cliff. And they were graded higher than marco hernandez. There's no way any team could see him as frontline prospect in any deal the sox try to make.

It's the sox's fault. He has been trending down since 2012 and has been pretty pedestrian since 2013. We just gotta hope he maybe has a couple decent regular seasons and is impactful in the playoffs.

In his press conference he said hell no in response to someone asking him if he wanrs to play 1st. While some of that is to protect nap, you can tell he definitely doesn't want to play 1st.

Yup. Problem with him is that his ability to make contact with balls anywhere near the strikezone is so good that he gets outs on some balls that he shouldn't have even swing at.

Pablo Sandoval has just been a very average hitter this year. His slugging, obp, and hrs are a little bellow average, and his .267 average is a little above average. He has turned into a pretty average hitter in the regular season these last couple of seasons.

I agree with you. A 4.5 era, considering AL average starting pitching era this year is 4.04 as of today,puts him absolutelty no better than a number 4. He is ranked 94th out of 128 starting pitchers with at least 60 innings pitched. Sure number 4's can have months where they pitch like 3's or 2's, but they just don't do it consistently. You can't just discount games where he single handed put the red sox out of it really early with no hope of coming back.

Well did you know if you take away napoli's 40 games where he doesn't have a hit, he's actually on a 37 game hitting streak. Hahahahahah

If they don't call up brian johnson soon, I'm gonna start to think that they view him the same way they did anthony ranaudo. I don't watch paw sox games so I can't tell, but does anyone here know how good brian johnson's stuff is? Maybe they just want to hype him up in the minors and deal him cause they believe his game won't transfer to the majors like ranaudo"

Ben should be fired for thinking this bullpen would be good enough to counter balance the s*** rotation. He could have been as positive as he wanted to about the rotation going into the season, but the fact is there is no way in the world he could have actually thought this rotation would have been good enough. Just look at all of the pitchers 2014 performances. Only one person (porcello) had an era under 4. Masterson was over 6, Buchholz was over 5, and Wade Miley and Joe Kelly both had era's in the mid 4's. What a poorly constructed team this is.
