    I don't know what the sox are trying to do with him. By putting him out again today, that must mean they are still hoping to make him a starter next year. I thought it would be pretty clear to them now that he shouldn't be a starter for the rest of this year or next year.

    How the hell does Kelly still only have four quality starts this year? Jeez.

    He started off solid today ( although the ump certainly did give him some calls on the outside of the plate) and still turns into this. Is there any other pitcher in the al who consistently gives up four or more runs a start than kelly this year? Jesus.

    I meant to say at blocking balls. I thought maybe his athleticism would help him in that area but it doesn't appear to be doing much.

    You think he would be better seeing how athletic he is. He can't use his size because he's not built like your normal catcher.

    If Vasquez shows that he really can't hit, I wouldn't mind that. At least they would be set at catcher for a while.

    I would have no problem putting blake at first, but his value goes down since he's not a masher.

    Vasquez should be the catcher. Blake's offense is overrated. I'm not saying that based on his mlb numbers this year because he never should have been up here this year. Just look at his prior minor league numbers. His was solid in the minors with an .840 ops his best year, but never dominated like a Kris Bryant or Joey Gallo or Kyle Schwarber. We have heard the buster posey comparisons, but Buster was a much more dominant hitter in the minors. I think blake can be a good hitter for a catcher, but that doesn't say much. If the sox could have gotten a good return for him, I would have traded him.

    He has been very solid since the second half of 2012. With guys like Takashi Saito, Okajima, Taz, and Koji, the sox have had some good japanese relievers in more recent years,

    Hopefully Rusney can get hot. We have enough damn problems on this team that ben and the front office created that need to be fixed.

    It's gonna be interesting to see next years rotation. Barring any unlikely trade, e-rod will take up a spot. Clay will have a spot. With the money they invested in Rick, that piece of s*** will take up a spot. Although I would rather have Miley in the rotation next year instead of Porcello because at least he can keep his fastball down in the zone much more often, they can't afford to waste another spot with Miley. He will either have to be put in the pen to start next year as a long reliever and a backup starter, or the sox will have to move him this deadline since they sure as hell can't trade porcello. With no Miley in the rotation to start next year, that would leave the last two spots to hopefully a free agent ace and Henry Owens. Whatever ends up happening, it will be interesting to see what management throws out on the field starting pitching wise in 2016.
