  1. I'd really like to see us sign Brian McCann. He's OPSing over .900 and plays great defense. Vazquez strikes me as more of a backup and I don't think Lavarnway's defense at catcher will every be major league caliber.
  2. I agree, it's childish.
  3. I love how Yankees fans tried to tell me Sabathia was just having an unlucky first half. The more I watch him, the more obvious it is that he is not the same pitcher he was two years ago.
  4. Three run lead! Looks like I won't be packing for at least a few more innings.
  5. Ignore the drama llamas, most Red Sox fans are enjoying this very much.
  6. Hey everyone, I had to pack the first two and a half innings. I'm moving in to a mansion.
  7. I don't see why either pitcher would be available. Young aces under team control long-term are the players teams build around. The Dodgers are in win now mode, so there's no chance Kershaw will be traded. Chris Sale is possible, but still very unlikely.
  8. You mean to tell me all of these injured players didn't return immediately to old form and turn the Yankees in to world beaters? But I thought the Yankees just had to stay close to the Red Sox and they'd have the division in the bag.
  9. Sale is one of the few guys I would be willing to trade Bogaerts for. That kind of trade probably makes more sense in the offseason though when we aren't working with a deadline. For this year, I'd be happy with adding a high quality bullpen arm or two. We just have to cross our fingers that Buchholz comes back. The asking price for similar pitchers is probably too high.
  10. Aw, is that what the doctor calls it?
  11. His therapist deserves every penny.
  12. Is that you Bobby Valentine?
  13. What I find amusing is how sensitive he becomes when someone acts equally condescending to him or points out how his "predictions" have blown up in his face. He loves to play the victim card, which probably isn't all that surprising considering he's trolling a Red Sox forum.
  14. So in your mind the Red Sox are telling him to try to pitch through pain and Buchholz is refusing because he wants a vacation? Chill. You have no idea what's going on here, so why assume the worst of our players?
  15. Nah, I bet the Red Sox medical staff is busy playing solitaire.
  16. Alex Anthopoulos is such a boob.
  17. Oh well, can't win em all. I'm confident jackoff will go back to "packing" tomorrow.
  18. Holy triple post batman! A troll is as a troll does.
  19. That's not at all what that article said. It was a writer speculating Ranaudo could be used in a trade, at no point did they suggest the team was considering it.
  20. Oh boo hoo. If you don't want to be called a troll don't act like one by coming in here and saying no one else here is employed. Your baseball "insight" is bad enough.
  21. Thanks, I was just wondering what Bobby Valentine would have to say about Buchholz.
  22. Brandon Lyon costs nothing, he was signed to a minor league deal and he was solid last year.
  23. Yes, that must be so tough for them. Everyone feel sorry for Yankees fans because they're not in first place in July and may not make the playoffs this year.
  24. That's because Yankees fans are spoiled brats. Any team within 5 games of a playoff spot with more than 50 games to play is in contention.
  25. Lester appears to have gotten lucky with his home run rate (lowest of his career) that year. His xFIP was over 4 and there's no reasonable explanation for it such as his decline velocity the last two years. He also had the lowest walk rate of his career, something he's not doing anymore.
