It was reported that 80% of A-Rod's contract is covered. However, he was a day away from coming off the DL, so I doubt he's hurt enough to retire. And no insurance company will pay out easily if they think he's faking. A-Rod and the Yankees could get in serious trouble if they're committing insurance fraud. -

Right, which explains why Cashman was so upset when A-Rod said he was healthy. It's probably also worth noting that lying and saying he's more hurt than he is in order to get his salary and save the Yankees money would be insurance fraud - which is illegal. -
I'm pretty sure the only guy who lost his job was the arbitrator who sided with Braun. I know he was "replaced".

Braun's a douche. I'm glad he finally got caught and admitted to cheating so Brewers fans would stop acting like he was a victim.

I meant to say that it's usually you three getting in flame wars with each other. There are other posters such as myself, MVP or Virginia Sox Fan who will call out other posters on what they think is ******** and then will let it go after a few posts. 9 times out of 10 when there's a flame war, however, it's because you and iortiz are having a disagreemnt and a700 jumps in to "save the day" with personal insults about how you're making personal insults and then no one backs down.

I don't have an issue with things you say to me. It's the constant flame wars you, iortiz and user name get in to with other posters which is the most irritating. Next time one of you guys considers engaging in a three page flame war, please consider that the 50 other posters here who come here to discuss baseball don't want to read that.

I'm not so sure A-Rod will take a deal. It would be best for the team because the Yankees aren't going anywhere this year. But I have a feeling A-Rod will do whatever makes him the most money. If he's suspended he doesn't get paid so I think he'll pretend he's hurt indefinitely and unable to play. He can't be suspended if he's not active. -

Well there you go. I'm glad they got him, lots of players cheat but not all of them are as big a scumbag as Braun was when they get caught. -

It was suggested ad nauseum. For at least a month the idea of trading for Papelbon came up in virtually every game thread there was a save opportunity.

I did go back and read your posts, you suggested that nothing significant had changed about Sabathia's abilities or peripherals and he was getting unlucky with the home run ball - which you stated you believed would change with time. You also called me out for what you believed was a hypocritical argument with little to no evidence which is why I'm holding you accountable now.

Yeah, I was given a really hard time for suggesting Sabathia was in decline. I was basically told that I was being a homer and had no argument. But Lester has similar rosy xFIP numbers and you don't see me or any other Red Sox fans suggesting he's just getting unlucky. Looks like I wasn't the one wearing rose colored glasses after all.

I don't see how that would make the lineup better. Iglesias has a sub .600 OPS on the month and that would mean we'd put two hitters back-to-back who can't hit lefties.
