He has pitched very well lately, sometimes in long relief. He has the stuff to do well. Had a rough patch, but seems to have overcome it. Regardless of what SCM says, Maholm does stink. We should have at least six runs against him already.

Nine K's in 4.2 innings. Wow. Not totally unexpected, but certainly welcome. This guy deserves a chance to become a SP next year.

I am more concerned with winning this game than Morales getting the win. If he starts to lose it, we gotta get him out of there. This is a big game.

It was the OF's ball. I agree. But once Pedroia gets his glove on it (and he was there in plenty of time to make the play) then he has to complete the play. Pedroia talks too much. I don't hate him. I think he talks too much.

Maybe so, but Pedroia got his glove on it. He had that play made but blew it. He has to make that play if McDime doesn't call him off.

None of this is Morales' fault. Castro hit a ball for a triple that was outside the zone, and was then he was victimized by careless baseball.

Did anyone think the season was over after game 1? The difference is that now many intelligent fans think that its very close. We will only be able to tell retrospectively who was right.

Yousiless keeps showcasing his talent. What is he now? 0 for 20. Time to release him if we can't get anything for him.

Time will tell. If we never get close by the end of the year then we can look back and see that it was indeed over on Father's Day. If we make a run, then it was never over.

Even the triple Castro hit was on a pitch outside the strike zone. So far so good for Morales. We should be able to score lots of runs off Maholm

Why would you want to give up ANY prospects for a one and a half year rental-unless we get more years out of the deal, which is highly unlikely?
