  1. That is exactly my point. We have no one to pitch in a one game playoff who really stands much of a chance of beating the other team's top SP. Who do we have to go up against Price or Weaver or Verlander? No one.
  2. All I said is that Punto stinks. Having him up with the bases loaded is as close to an automatic out as there is. I know now why he is in there, but that doesn't change the fact that he should not be on this roster at all.
  3. Fewer and fewer people are deluded. A lot of people here know what is wrong with this team, and more are realizing that its not our year. Again.
  4. If we get nine behind the Yankees we have no chance of catching them. The Angels will get one wild card spot if they don't overtake the Rangers because they are the best of the WC candidates. The other teams that are better than we are are the Orioles and the Rays; the Tigers may also beat us out. We lose this and lose one more in the lost column to the Yankees and we really ought to sell the house at the trading deadline.
  5. Ortiz is up there saying how great the Mariners' pitching is....they are NINTH in ERA. They suck. Our offense sucks more, apparently, especially with this lineup. We are getting shut out.....AGAIN. One more game behind the Yankees, if we lose this, and its time to throw in the towel.
  6. Punto makes outs. Sometimes they are hard outs, sometimes they are soft outs. He is hitting .197/.595. He sucks. Him up there in any situation is as close to an automatic out as there is.
  7. As much as you would like to believe that, its way too early to tell either way. So far, overall, I like what I have seen.
  8. Bases loaded with two out once. But Punto was up and the results were predictable.
  9. I deal more with what IS rather than what could or would or should be. Fact is, we aren't winning this series. Why? Because we do not have the talent to win it.
  10. Seven runs in four games is not going to win us anything. This pathetic. The team looks DEAD.
  11. Doubront needs to be removed from the rotation. He simply isn't getting the job done.
  12. Great. Albers coming in to put the finishing touches on another loss.
  13. The Sox spend money. They just spend it foolishly.
  14. More sloppy baseball, this time by Doubront not watching the baserunner. Every single game...sloppy sloppy sloppy
  15. We do not have the talent to be in that situation.
  16. Did not know that Aviles is sick. And Kalish is better than Lillibridge.
  17. WTF is this lineup? Punto and Lillibridge in the same lineup with Shoppach? This is the most pathetic lineup we can produce without more trades.
  18. That is the essence of our pitching problems. And I don't see a realistic solution until the offseason.
  19. Yankees win again. We lose this game and its 8 behind in the lost column...again. The season will once again be on the precipice.
