    Like I wrote earlier, Porcello is a s*** pitcher, but he makes up for it in quantity.

    And Beeks, who sucks, is pitching the nightcap for the Rays. The Orioles could sweep the DH.

    Rays lose....but it won't matter. 86 wins is what I predicted months ago. I am sticking with it. Had the team not had such an awful start we would be right there where we want to be.

    Apparently Hernandez did well against LHP in AAA ball. I can't remember his numbers, but I read it somewhere. We all know what JBJ can do-unfortunately.

    Meh....either Barnes OR Workman will blow this one. Its not totally their fault. They have had their asses kicked by lack of SPing.

    At this rate we will lose the game. We will need more than four runs to win this. And Velasquez is coming in....and he sucks.

    You can have him....the Sox won't be signing him again. His ERA this year is 5.42 with an ERA+ of 90. The only reason he gives us a chance to win is because his team routinely scores runs in bundles for him. Price has sucked too..for Price. Both suck. Price is still ours; Porcello is history.

    Price fails to pay attention to Calhoun allowing him to steal 2nd base uncontested. Another example of brain dead baseball.

    The plural of Hernandez is "Hernandi".....I think.

    I suspect that its a combination of factors including choosing poor coaches as well as not being able to recognize amateur pitchers with good potential. That and finishing with low draft picks....its astonishing that we haven't developed a good SP since Lester.

    I disagree. No reasonable amount of bullpen help was going to make much of a difference given how s***** our SP was this year. Our pen actually had a lower ERA than our SPs: 4.29 v 4.99. If the SP was good we would be in the playoff hunt no matter what DD did with the pen.

    Maybe its not the picks. Maybe its the way the team develops and coaches those picks.

    They are toast. They have been toast since the end of the Yankee sweep.

    Walden walks a .222 hitter who is 0 for his last 24. Thats just lack of focus-the same thing that has contributed to this horrible season.
