    The vets know where this team is headed this year. But what’s the plan for the upcoming years? They likely won’t be competitive next year either. Two more years of this? Three?

    Who else should they flush before tomorrow? There aren’t many position players worth keeping. They can’t keep both Bogaerts and Devers-I keep Devers. Keep Duran because he might work out. Story. Kiki maybe. Verdugo. That’s really about it.

    Vasquez is walking at the end of the year. The Sox are under Henry’s direction to cut salary. It’s a relief to see that the management has a realistic view of this group of losers now. I hope they can somehow keep Devers. He has by far the best bat on the team.

    Yeah, but the scariest part is that management will think they have a chance to get into the playoffs and try to acquire someone rather than flushing this dumpster fire down the toilet.

    The pressure on Wink today is to throw the game without appearing to throw it. Sox MUST lose today because that would remove any temptation for management to continue hoping we can turn it around. By the end of the day there should be no doubt whatsoever that we are the sellers that last place bottom feeders all are.
