    It’s been this way for a long time. Even when we had good teams….though that seems like a long time ago

    Third time the bum Don Smith has struck out looking on a pitch right down the middle with runners in scoring position. He’s a bum and is emblematic of the lack of talent on this team.

    We won’t make the playoffs. The talent isn’t there. At least even odds we will end up In last place, and we will certainly finish below the Yankees, the Orioles, and the Rays. Basically we are playing for next year or the year after. He needs work against inferior competition to regain (or at least not lose) his confidence.

    One more bad outing and yes, I’d send him down. Remember: this team will likely finish in last place and almost certainly out of the playoffs. We are already playing for next year or the year after. I wouldn’t want a promising prospect to lose confidence with this group of bums.

    Exactly That’s why if he continues to struggle he should be sent down to work out the kinks before he loses confidence.

    Send him down. He has the talent but right now he absolutely sucks. Three hits and a run already.

    11th biggest payroll is middle third. I wonder how our dead money total compares with the dead money total for other teams. If we have more than most then it’s a matter of spending money wisely more than spending a lot of money.

    The real problem is lack of talent up and down the lineup in all three phases of the game. You can thank Henry for that. “Full throttle” my ass.

    3-0 already. Just tuned in and the game is almost over. The descent into last place continues.

    I tune in when I have the time and the inclination whether they are winning or losing. If they are playing like crap and not worth watching I leave. And I feel free to comment on them either way. Hope you have no problem with that.

    Three: they are the Sox is #3. This one is pretty much over already. I predict that this is the beginning of the team finding its rightful place in THE CELLAR again.

    It’s not really about this year. This is another last place team. If we want Bello to contribute in a couple of years when (hopefully) the team is relevant again he needs to get demoted so he can get his act together against inferior hitters.

    Get ANYONE up. Bello needs to go down to try to get his act together so that in a couple of years when this team has a chance to be competitive he can help. Don’t be fooled: this is a last place team.

    Curious to see what Martin has this year. He was great last year. I think he’s back or will be soon.

    I live out here near SF. So I was able to read stories about him in the local newspapers. Apparently he’s a real ass. Rude. Arrogant.
