  1. Why are they even throwing Rafaela a strike-ever?
  2. Rafaela with a bat in his hands is a waste
  3. Actually, you’re right. Benching him won’t make a difference to him or to the team. I hope it works out for him. I hope he manages to obtain some discipline in what he swings at-for his sake and for the sake of the team. But if he doesn’t improve I don’t want him on my team. I’d give him another year.
  4. Only twice in his career did he hit over.250. He had only one good year, 2020, when he hit .283. He hit .133 last year with KC which fired him. Pitchers are discovering that there’s no reason to throw Rafaela a strike. Despite his defensive prowess if he doesn’t improve greatly he’s not long for this team.
  5. I certainly hope you’re right. If he could even manage.750 OPS he could play on my team as long as there are others on the team who are better offensively.
  6. This one is spot on. Are you claiming that Rafaela has even passable K zone recognition? He looks silly with a bat in his hands. Unless that miraculously improves he’s going to suffer the same fate as JBJ-or worse because at least Bradley had a few good years with the bat. My bet is that he will never have passable plate recognition and won’t be with the team in 4-5 years max.
  7. Bradley couldn’t make contact most seasons. That’s why, despite his obvious defensive abilities he was jettisoned from every team he played for-starting with this team.
  8. Can’t handle the truth is how I interpret your post
  9. Nobody is doubting his amazing defensive ability. Just like Rafaela. Great defensively. I don’t think Rafaela will even achieve the few good offensive seasons JBJ had. Not unless his plate discipline greatly and miraculously improve. We don’t need a no hit CFer. Unfortunately they signed him to an extension meaning he’s going to play every day, displacing someone more valuable to the team. Read Fox’s article.
  10. He had a couple of good years with a bat. That’s probably more than Rafaela will ever have-unless he learns not to swing at pitches a couple of feet outside the zone.
  11. If he was so great why is he now relegated to the Long Island Ducks? Answer: he was a disaster with a bat in his hands. Just like Rafaela.
  12. Good article about his total lack of plate discipline on this forum. You should read it. We got rid of someone like him not long ago-JBJ. I think he’s out of baseball now. Correction: JBJ is playing for the Long Island Ducks. Maybe they could use another good defensive player.
  13. Six runs isn’t a big enough lead for this pitching staff
  14. He should sit because the season is over for the team and him continuing to play risks further injury to his shoulders., not because he is useless. Rafaela is useless. That’s why HE should sit.
  15. No, but last year he was unhittable. This year I’d give him a B.
  16. We have a lot of great prospects in the oven. Unfortunately none of them are pitchers. Without a nearly totally revamped pitching staff we’re going to suck just like this for years
  17. Does he also feel obligated to screw up his shoulder so that he’s not ready for ST? He’s not doing what’s best for the team right now.
  18. Enjoy the rest of the game if you like watching absolute BUMS. I can’t even stand these schmucks on gameday.
  19. And there it is. These guys are absolutely DISGUSTING. Why on earth anyone thinks they have a chance for the WC is beyond me. I’m in favor of them losing every single remaining game EXCEPT to the Yankees.
  20. Flops about to lose this game because their pen is horrible
