    If you want to be negative about a team, give a reason why player X is not good, and have some realistic proposal to amend the problem. So far, I've read that 40% of the Red Sox rotation might be mentally ill. The solutions are to sign Stephen Drew and Kendry Morales (to play LF). The trade options are to trade Alan Webster for Cliff Lee. Also, trading Clay Buchholz for some random player is on the table. Are we supposed to take this s*** seriously? This isn't about driving dissent away; it's about people tired of some posters just making noise. Also, when someone takes the time to rebut a conspiracy theory, (SoxSport and Fred) take the time to respond to the point. Don't just rehash the same argument, and accuse everyone else of not doing any research.

    No, because your hypothetical scenario involves him not losing velocity on his fastball. We aren't even having this conversation if he goes through that trajectory. He's also making short of $8 million this year, and $12 million in 2015. That is not big money for an "ace" coming off a healthy season. Any trade offer would reflect both uncertainty and the potential Buchholz could offer. I doubt someone else could offer enough to make the Red Sox trade him away.

    bbdoc, author of "Faggots," and now author of idiotic trade proposals. Buchholz has 4/44.5 remaining on his contract, with two options. That is not a big money contract. Please share with us this return you imagine Buchholz would fetch with a healthy 2013 season. Do you have any information that suggests the Red Sox were considering it? More likely, it is your inability to discern reality from fantasy at work again.

    Jacko in fantasyland again. Where his status is among the elites, and the unmarried women have one child. The Red Sox would have had to been blown away to trade an ace coming off a 6-7 WAR season, and they weren't going to accept prospects for him.
