  1. Checked the game log and the Ortiz numbers are amazing....and nobody has mentioned him as a problem. After last night Agon may have gotten something back, so I hope the return to RF so that a 182 hitter can be in the lineup doesn't hurt him avg obp slg 405 457 726 April 250 341 500 May 182 333 318 June
  2. People buying tickets..."Yea...first week of June ...should be nice in Boston." Another cold night.
  3. He has looked so good lately. When he comes up to bat, I feel confident that he will help and he has pretty much come through.
  4. 40 pitches in 1.1 innings of triple AAA? Not great. Obviously they NEED him for Bard this week end so he is "ready"....ready or not, here he comes.
  5. The other Curtism I enjoyed was that the Gov of RI, in doubting the company, caused Curt to lose financial backing that was coming through......they backed out. Now Curt couldn't get a dollar pledged to him by anybody until the jock sniffing former gov got a hard-on thinking about associating with an athlete. NOBODY would give him a penny.
  6. You got yourself sucked into the thread over 40 times.....and now you want to stop! Now that is funny! The Providence Journal has the exclusive interview with the formerly silent Curt. The list of offenses committed by the state and the governor are almost funny if Curt's POV wasn't so skewed. I loved --- they made me pay the 1mil + bill that was already overdue....so that is why I couldn't make my payroll.
  7. No actually, it is an expression of amazement. Do as I say, not as I do????? Like someone is going to obey.
  8. AHHHH Schill speaks ...damn that state of RI.
  9. Ya think? It must be killing him ....media people asking questions that he can't or doesn't want to answer. Not being able to step out onto a stage to make his presence/ point of view known. Hiding behind little comments on Facebook. That is all so unCurtlike.
  10. Apparenlty they did get enough of him since they never gave him anymore money even though he asked for it. They did grant him the tax credits that he was legally entitled to, but again he asked for many more and they did not grant him those either. The governor is speaking right now and he said that neither he nor any committee members got the impression that the company would obtain profitablity.
  11. MLB reports that he expects to sign within the week and start throwing in the Majors by mid June
  12. And not for the king either??? As for concluding that a failed business may not impugn a person's integrity ( especially when he messengers a check to cover the debt....and the firms's financial officer had to stop the check because it could not be covered due to insufficient funds) well, that stupidity speaks for itself.
  13. EWWW...the king has spoken. Never mentoned anything political to do with the Schill.....just his integrity. Yep, the guy can throw a baseball....let him live as a god....and I will continue to enjoy mocking pomposity.....everywhere I see it.
  14. Sorry I thought it was a rhetorical question...one that didn't require an answer. I am pretty sure that he didn't start it with the intention of failing....not with his ego. Does that help now?
  15. If that is the impression you have, then you better limit yourself to posting the lineups....no heavy lifting there
  16. So his own investment is a sham...and what attitude is that? The one that mocks you for your "king" pretense and Schilling worship?? He played a game...had some success at it. But f***ing with people's money and the lives of real people in the real world is bad. Like somebody said about the pols in RI ( the ones that you have such a low opinion of) they were blinded by the celebrity of an athlete and didn't look very far below the surface to see if this was something he could actually accomplish. Lots of people do that...and it is too bad because often the player off the field has very little to offer in the real world...not all but many. And to blindly consider them as gods is stupid.
  17. My god, you know so much....did people leave existing jobs because they got sucked in by the fact that he "won two championships in 4 years" cuz you know, some people are really impressed by that kind of stuff and totally judge people just on that....well f*** them for being stupid. I have no idea how much, if any, Schill put in of his own money. A lot of them don't use their own cash because people are so impressed with, you know, " two championships in 4 years". You apparently do know since you mentioned twice that the poor guy is out millions.
  18. Yea, he's a fine man of great integrity....and f*** the 400+ plus people who aren't getting a paycheck this week. Maybe they would like a picture of Curt in his RS uniform in place of a few Benjamins for rent or mortgage....or maybe a shot of the Bloody Sock.....that would buy the kid some food
  19. Schill got over $70 mil from the state of RI last year to move his company to that state from MA. I guess he did have one game introduced......but..... he was unable to make a payment to the state this month. After a meeting yesterday In RI ( in which Schill had nothing to say to the press---surprise there) there was an agreement to hand deliver a check today. Breaking new just now on a Providencer station, the financial officer called and told the state there was insufficent funds to cover the check....and that they could not meet their payroll this week. Remember that 7 or 8 mil Schill took from the RS and he never pitched once. That was one of Theo's blunders as the insurance company wouldn't cover Schill...so the RS ate that money. Looks like the RI taxpayers are going to eat an even bigger one from Schill.
  20. Ahh..logic. Thanks. The emtional cry of " DO is going to sign with the Yanks" always makes me laugh....They have enough of their own old men with ridiculous contracts ( aRod)
